Good article but frankly it's not anything that hasn't been said by myself and many others for the last few years. A power running game will take care of a number of other deficiencies when we play the middle/lower half of the BIG, for now. Establish the lines, RUN the ball, Control the clock. With Special Teams now in place, let's get this done.

Yep. Any observer with even half a brain can see that this is the path forward. Unfortunately, we haven’t had a coach who has done this consistently since a certain fellow retired in 1997. And our current coach clearly has failed in this regard. Maybe this Geep guy can change our fortunes.

This isn’t a reset.

Problem is, our OC doesn’t have an effin clue about how to run a power offense. If you are going to hire a guy who runs air raid… let him run air raid
Whatever it takes to move the ball and have sustained drives. Sadly, we will have a lot of mediocre seasons now until we finally can fire Rhule
At the very least, uncle Donnie is gone so at least there I am somewhat optimistic

At this point it would be such an improvement. Sadly.
From an entertainment perspective, firing 5 coaches since Iowa last hired theirs has made Nebraska more interesting. The sport exists for entertainment and Iowa doesn't really provide that...playing against them is insufferable, I can't imagine watching them every week and knowing it will never get better.
