For those of you who are wondering why Northwestern hasn’t landed any big time Illinois high school recruits, I think you should read the article in today’s Tribune sports section. There will be more articles on this subject, I’m sure. It’s obvious the university doesn’t want its hands dirtied by this situation, which has every possibility of spreading to several other places.
As for DePaul, the powers to be have to wonder what is going on. It appears two of the assistants Dave Letaio hired have there hands dirty in this deal. Perhaps DePaul should rethink there Big East membership. I personally think they would be better off in the Missouri Valley.
Something like this could also be the reason Layton is at Texas El Paso right now. That is just a thought.
