The team shot a very nice 53.7%, a really, really nice 75.0% from (if only on 3-4) and 72.2% from the line. They had 24 points in the paint, 8 points off turnovers, 5 2nd chance points, 6 fast break points and 13 bench points. They had 38 rebounds, 12 assists, 19 (yech) turnovers, 6 blocks and 5 steals.
Virginia
Moses 18 points (7-11, 4-10 ft), 7 reb, 0 a, 1 to, 1 b, 2 s
Venson 10 points (4-18(!), 2-9 3 pt), 2 reb, 2 a, 2 to, 1 b, 0 s
Umeri 6 points (2-6, 2-2 ft), 4 reb, 1 a , 1 to, 0 b, 0 s
Brown 6 points (1-7, 1-4 3 pt, 3-4 ft), 1 feb, 1 a, 2 to, 0 b, 0 s
Randolph 5 points (2-8, 1-3 3 pt), 3 reb, 2 a, 0 to, 0 b, 0 s
Jones 2 points (1-1), 2 reb, 0 a, 0 to, 0 b, 1 s
Mason 1 point (0-6, 0-1 3 pt, 1-2 ft), 5 reb, 2 a , 1 to, 0 b, 1 s
El Aliyah 0 points (0-2, 0-2 3 pt), 0 reb, 0 a, 2 to, 0 b, 1 s
The Cavaliers shot a miserable 28.8%, a somewhat better (but not good) 21.1% from 3 and 55.6% from the line. They had 14 points in the paint, 19 points off turnovers, 2 2nd chance points, 2 fast break points and 8 bench points. They had 28 rebounds, 8 assists, a very good 9 turnovers, 2 blocks and 5 steals. If you take away Moses, the rest of the team shot 20.8%, which is brutal.
The turnovers are a concern, but at least they didn't make a difference today. If RU had, say, 5 fewer TOs, it could have been a 20-point game.
