Looking forward to that. It absolutely blows my mind that some Kentucky fans actually want Tennessee basketball to be good.
Scott Drew was Barney’s first choice and he would’ve probably been worse than Pope.
His title win during the covid tournament was a fluke.

And they lost by 15. Kinda like we lost to MSU by 17.

Allegedly UK makes $5M on whatever BS “tournament” that was they hosted at Rupp. That’s why they aren’t going. They can’t “afford” not to host it.

I've seen it on this forum over the years. Less prevalent now, but it was pretty common just a few years ago. Their logic was that Tennessee being good made the SEC look better. UT is my most disliked team, so it always amazed me to see that from any UK fan.
I also hate the orange. I don’t even get the pro-SEC thing. F the entire SEC. The rest of the conference is useful for our team’s SOS and Quad 1 wins. Other than that, screw ‘em. Every team south of Kentucky can burn in a trash heap as far as I’m concerned…and make sure the Volunteers are crispiest.
I don’t get why. Genuinely, no one likes Tennessee. Their fans are notorious jerks known by every other SEC fanbase.
Usually it’s just UK basketball fans that other fans hate. But with Tennessee fans, no one likes any of them. They’re always showing their asses.

May is one heck of a coach. We should go after him if Pope fails IMO. Another young coach with a bright future. If we can’t get Oats anyway possible then he should be a top target.
May might be better than Oats. Last year, Michigan had a top 12 defense. He is good at coaching both sides of the ball.
It sucks to see guys like Yaxel playing well when it was between us and Michigan.
