I came across this today and since his name is on the list of candidates I found it interesting. There is an interview with him by the writer of the article near the end. Teddy on radio said he is a pro style offensive OC.

How would you define your offensive philosophy?

JC: You can say a bunch of hooplah, but I think above all else we will be a hard nosed physical team. We are going to run the football. You have to establish the run. Can’t throw it all the time, but you can pick your spots and take play action shots. Expect some no huddle and some speed huddle with a fast break out. We will change up the cadence and employ a lot of motion and shifts.

What base set can we expect to see the most of?

JC: We will run a pro style offense with some college wrinkles. Always as a coach you have to understand, it’s about the players. Don’t force a square peg in a round hole, you have to adapt to the best players you have. I like to use a tight end, but we maybe have only one or two guys that can play the position the way I’d like. For that reason, you’ll see less 12 personnel than we have run in the past and likely more 11 and 10 in base sets. We will figure out who we got in the spring. Once we know who our best players are, we will adapt.

If Indiana can put 28-35 points on Ohio State, I would write their OC a blank check.

Not looking good for them today. TOSU is who OU should be every year. I say this but I hate the Buckeyes
I hate the Buckeyes too, but they have great advantages over us. They come from a state that has essentially three times the population that OU has, and really only one power 4 university. You could count UCinn if you wanted to, but that's a stretch. Ok State used to be an afterthought too, before T. Boone started throwing unbelievable amounts of money around. He made them relative enough to win a conference title once. And Gundy gave them continuity in their staff.

Oklahoma has about four million people and a little change. Ohio has a coupla thousand under twelve million. And it's one of the top high school football states in the country. We've competed with that well head to head. And historiacally we have more Heisman winners and national champioins. We've also had more consecutive bowl games than them. And since the Big Twelve, we've been in tougher overall conference. And now, we're in the toughest conference in the country. The next couple of years will be telling. I believe that with a normal year of attrition, we'll be as good as anybody in the SEC. I also believe the BV will make us a team that has a great annual defense.
