I don't know if I'd call it a shootout. They've given up 45 points and they're still in the first half.

Apparently, there is a pretty strong wind at the game, and VaTech got most of their with it, and then TU had it in the second to make it interesting. 45-31 at the half. The GH scored with 20 seconds left in the half to cut a 21 point lead down to two scores. TU, remember, is playing with their top two offensive coaches off to work for Charlie Strong, and their HC is calling plays. Except for a special teams TD, Tulsa is hanging with the Hokies in Beamer's last game.

This may be exactly the shootout described. A blowout started and then suddenly a shootout broke out. 750 combined yards from scrimmage in the first half by the two teams.

Since I am a homer, really like Tulsa to rally back and compete the second half.

I think they will.
