That’s the kind of stat that makes me giddy
28 assists on 37 FGA. Basketball porn for me, lol. And, SIX different guys with at least 3 apiece. The ball movement is already in mid-season form & will be scary good when they seriously gel & actually learn how to play together. I love the unselfishness & collective court awareness I’ve seen so far. This group will be fun to watch.
This is what you get when you have a coach that actually runs an offense, so all the players have a good idea as to what is going to happen, instead of rolling the ball out there and screaming make a play.
We looked so much better on offense than any of Cal's teams in the last 7-8 years you almost can't compare them. I'm not talking about how much we score or when threes are falling. I'm talking about how they play together as a team, run an offense and set each other up for good shots.
And be still my heart we actually score on out of bounds plays.
Scary thing is Krissa had 6 assists and zero tos last night and didnt even play in the 1st ex gm.
Having multiple guys at 5 or 6 assists and then another several with 3 or 4 is awesome. Shows how passing properly can lead to buckets. I know I do not miss the player pounding the ball for 15 or 20 seconds. A few of the so called experts the other night was discussing the amount of assists without the ball touching the floor. Was fun to see others discussing the offense.
