I too had some doubts about CC's recruiting after the Johnny Vassar debacle and the slow start to 2019. But he and his staff seem to be knocking it out of the park with this class, not to mention landing some good transfer players and recovering from the Lathon debacle (which no one had any chance of foreseeing).

I think it's actually possible that the new athletic facility (along with the Welsh-Ryan rebuild) could benefit basketball recruiting as much or more than football recruiting.

Think having made it to the Dance is still paying off in recruiting (despite the disappointing following season).

1st recruits can now be sure that getting to the Tourney (at NU) is definitely a possibility..

2nd, that run led to the still very good 2018 class; recruits know that the path to the Tourney is to play w/ other good players.

3rd - and yeah, playing in front of 10k fans probably didn't hurt (the Trienens redo should also help).

Have confidence that the 2020 class will be another good one (building upon these 2).
