I know for a fact (it goes without saying- but know) that it has hit a place hard besides Two Keys in same area.

I am sure The Keys will bounce back once things are up and running. Used to live above it in an apartment between TK and Subway (gone now) on Limestone....those were the days.

I lived in Lexington from 2001 -2010. And then again from 2012 -2017.

Somehow I never once stepped foot into Two Keys

Now if Tolly Ho goes bankrupt....

Pazzos is still there in name. Tolly Ho is the same but a couple blocks over.

Pazzo’s closed about six months ago.

Which was honestly for the best. The place had gone steadily downhill for years, then changed ownership and gutted the menu/beer selection.

Kennedy’s
Pazzos
Jersey Mikes
Tolly Ho
Kitty O Shea
Two Keys

All of these from my college days are gone?

Pazzos is still around, isn't it? The HO just moved. Two Keys will still be fine.

I still have my pint glass from Pint Night at Pazzos on first night I ever sipped a Blue Moon with a Funky Chicken Pizza. Heaven.

[McDs is brand new. Just got new sewage pipes too![/QUOTE]

I went when this McDonalds was a great pizza/beer joint named Maria’s. Had those big heavy schooners of beer and the pizza was very good. Joe B’s was just starting on the corner.

Used to see the b-ball team in Maria’s late as they lived in the dorm across the street. Holmes Hall?
Two Keys was booming and had just been purchased by a guy Henry ?. Think he did pretty well with it.
Can’t imagine living above it.

Good times ... good times

We could crawl through our living room window walk out on the roof and jump down to back patio of Two Keys....it was kind of loud some nights...ha.

Miraculously, the four people that lived there:

Business Owner
Doctor
Lawyer
Director in Technology

Played pool with Deron Feldhaus and family one night. Basketball was their best game I can only assume.

I had a couple of friends that also lived in an apartment over TK. 1981 I believe. Maybe 1982.

Ours was actually attached to Two Keys.

So if you are looking at TK on Limestone at front of building there is a Green and Red building that are right next to it. We lived in the Green one...it was just one apartment. The Red building is a bodega or something now...used to be Subway.

From my limited memory their apartment was directly over TK, facing Limestone. 40 years ago.

This is where we were. Back of apartment overlooked TK patio and window in living room went out onto roof where you could literally walk out and be 10-12 ft above patio...basically from where you exited inside of bar to patio area.

I had a cousin live there in the late eighties. They said the location was great but their parking spots were always getting blocked and walking to your car in early mornings you had to look out for pee puddles and puke.

This was the super college-y bar a block or two from Rupp right? How did this place go under?

Can you imagine that area if they don't have students on campus this fall? I'm not sure what will stay in business. I never went to UK but have been to Two Keys many, many times.

Going to be a disaster across america.. lot of bars gonna be for sale. Could be an opportunity for some buyers.

There's a vibrant town nere me, Saratoga. It's famous for Saratoga Race course. Super upscale, i dont think there's a home under 300k there. But without track attendance this year.. bars and restaurants are losing their mind. Rent and taxes are already through the roof. So many of these places are gonna go under. Sad.

Remember Lexington City Brewery from the late 90’s? $1 pints, good times. Besides Two Keys I don’t think of any of the bars I went to are still operating, graduated in 2001.

803 South (the original location)? I was there the night they closed. They let us take anything we wanted and just gave away the rest of their booze.
