Houston and Maine.....that's right, Maine.
A nice payday for the Black Bears in what will be a dwarf throwing jamboree for OU..

We only have girl's rowing. An attempt to comply with Title IX.

The pickins were pretty thin. We probably need to get use to playing this kind of OOC schedule if we adopt Alabama’s plan of action. I’m not a fan.

Joe had few options. There were only a handful of teams who had openings on the schedule at all, and almost nobody who had openings on the date that OU had available. I'm sure they gave Maine a bunch of money to play sacraficial lamb. They had to make a commitment for five years down the road, to get Houston to play them in 2024.

These type of OOC are just bad for us fans. With Super Conferences forming lets hope everyone cuts these type of games out and start scheduling better.

That may be true. But serving the fans isn't the highest priority. Because we'll be in the SEC with accompanying schedule difficulty, to meet your schedule difficulty needs. Look at the rest of the conference. They have at least one fluff nc opponent, because the rest of their schedule, especially in the west, has lots of star power.
