He's been awful so far to this point. It's only the 4th game but it isn't looking good as far as us looking for him to be a scorer.

Only 4 games into the season but he has been dreadful. I’m shocked at how lost he continues to look every game. Really disappointing.

Not this season at all. If he stays around he could become a solid player but I think his confidence took a major hit due to the Duke game, which was a rude awakening for everyone on this team.

No way he could live up to huge expectations. The early games had him way over hyped. He will be fine over time.
Some of you may recall how Jeff Sheppard struggled during his freshman season. Watching Herro being absolutely lost reminds me of the situation with Sheppard. This is definitely a kid that needs 3-4 years.

He will be fine. He’s not playing up to his capabilities at all right now. No confidence.

Total Stud after 4 games in the tropics .. NBA 1st rounder after 4 games , it isn't a syndrome , its the way certain players get confidence instilled in them , certain players do not .. it will be up to Tyler to over come the situation . I'm very sad for him both personally and because the Cats really need him .

All this says to me is that he's probably going to be a 3 year player..

Works for me. We need guys for next year. And its really just a confidence issue.. Just not quite good enough for this game as a freshman.. At least this early in the year.

Tyler gets very few open looks. Our offense is not set up to get open looks from three. Also, when he feeds the post, the ball is never reversed out back to him when he's open.
He's one of our better passers, and has a high BB IQ.
He'd be a star on any other team. If he were allowed to run our point, he'd be a lot better than what we currently have there.
He's a little foot-slow on defense, but then again, none of our guards are any better.

Herro had 18 last game. Hard to get a rhythm when you're yanked in and out. None of our other guards have looked very good but aHerro is singled out? Why?

Look above your post and I said the same thing with a different choice of words .

We will have several come back next year including our bigs. I believe EJ will be gone and unless PJ goes D-league he stays. Will have a few juniors on next years squad.

He was open a few times tonight without taking the shot so, he is either too slow on pulling the trigger or his confidence is shot.

He’s not used to such an ugly, dumbed down system of basketball. Dude would flourish at Duke.

You know what they say. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Don't do this to yourself. He'll struggle all year, pull it together around SEC tournament time, make a few shots in the NCAA Tournament, and he'll be gone. This episode has been on repeat for 10 years now.
