Seems like he has shut it down and will go to LSU.... his dad said no more visits will be made after his LSU visit this weekend.

That's unfortunate, sounds like he really likes Parella. The kid at least owes us a visit. Goofball at LSU won't last two years.

I wouldn't be so sure on that one... Every time the guy has to be a intermediate Head Coach the teams win after they fire the Head Coach..

Well, his tenure at Ole Miss, the dirtiest or second dirtiest school in the SEC, he couldn't hack it. Orgeron is not a guy who will have much success running a program for the long term. His successor will have a lot of talent to work with, though.

The only chance there was with shelvin was when there uncertainty about whether Orgeron stayed at LSU. Shelvin was quoted saying Orgeron is like a second father to him.

We got a big commit this week over some programs that last week everyone was quite sure was providing financial assistance to recruits .... Did we out bid them??
No, I believe he saw through the fake Buckeye crap and the fight it was going to be there to get on the field. Just my guess.
Think that is why a kid says no to a visit? Much different saying no I don't choose your school or I am going to switch schools and No, I will not even look at 1 more school.

That's rich, when Riley was forming his staff there was plenty posters threw his name out there that they wanted him for an asst.Coach job...

Well sure, but a lot of us didn't want him within five hundred miles of the program. He's like John Blake.

We never had any shot at him, get real. I don't even know why he's even mentioned on this board.
Well it was kind of like the Dumb and Dumber line near the end of the movie where she tells JC, "you're one in a million" and he replied "so you're saying there's a chance". He's a potential difference maker that you have to at least try to get.

This kid I think like LSU and will stay no matter who is coach. He didn't see Nebraska finish very strong and may not know about our coach lasting very long if next year is bad ???

I think he will absolutely stay with LSU, but our coach looks like Tom Landry compared to Ed O.

I honestly think too many people put too much emphasis on how Nebraska did down the stretch when it comes to recruits.

18 year olds don't sit around like 40 year olds and watch every football game on TV. They don't pay close attention to the standings. They are simply worried about their relationships with the coaches recruiting them, what those guys are telling them about direction of the program and where they fit in the scheme.

If Shelvin pick LSU, it will be based on his relationship wit Ogeron, the style of play and where he fits.

LSU being the home town team matters a whole lot more than the result of the Iowa game.

This.

And I suppose it makes everyone feel better to say we lose a recruit to an alleged bidding war rather than the fact they are from that area and that has been a dream of theirs since they were in grade school.
