Rory closed with a 9 under 61 to win Canadian Open going away! He's uber-confident in his game right now, and along with DJ has been established at 8-1 odds behind Brooks Koepka (favorite) at 15-2. Woods is at 9-1. I am going w/Koepka again like I did at PGA, but watch out for Rory. Who ya got? OFC

That's the million dollar question Hart, which Rory shows up,the one who dominated this weekend,or the one who missed the cut at the Memorial,if he plays like he did this week,he's gonna be awful tough to beat.I'll go with Rory, with D.J.on the U.S. side.

True CD....Rory had just missed the cut recently so we're not sure which version shows up.Johnson seems to have POSSIBLY MORE TALENT THAN ANYONE, EVEN WOODS, but his desire??? Seems to be in simply a walkabout at times. Koepka just seems the most focused guy in majors right now.... OFC

Nope.

Rory will do his usual backdoor into a top 15, but won’t contend.

This week i think it’s DJ’s to lose. I can’t for the life of me imagine Brooks going for the 3-peat but how do you bet against him in majors at this point? Jordan has come on as of late but i don’t like his grouping first two rounds, i think that plays a factor. So gun to my head, give me DJ.

It's really hard to bet against Koepka right now if you're forced to pick a winner. He's just been so steady in majors.

If I couldn't pick Koepka? I like Molinari because he's steady most of the time. IMO, Pebble Beach will get Rory a few times this weekend and cost him. I don't like Tiger, either. Maybe Patrick Cantlay? I like how he played at The Memorial and he's another guy who just seems like it's time for him to make a move at a major.

Regardless, it should be a fun weekend of golf.

Hard to say with Rory. I wouldn’t be eager to bet against him but his highs and lows can be dramatic at times. He was awesome this past week. He will have to dial back the driver at Pebble though.

It would be cool to see Tiger or Koepka win. With that I am going to say Speith wins this week. It’s only a matter of time until he wins with how he has turned it around IMO.

Jordan has definitely turned it around, and if his putter is on he should be right in the mix. I think the short putts 10-15 ft and less bothered him more than anything. OFC

Would love to see Roy win a major this year but I have a hard time putting money on him. He tends to be average at best on the big stage of a Major tournament

He set the bar for his own personal goals so high in the beginning that it has made him struggle trying to attain that level of golf since. Almost wonder if he would not have been so good would he have struggled so much the last couple of years.

I’m not liking the PGA Championship schedule switch so far. I think I’d rather have bigger gaps in between these majors.

I agree w/you Gilljet. Its all predicated on the mighty dollar. Ratings have been down for Fed Ex Cup play, because of going head to head with football in the fall. Thus the move everything up switch. Seems strange the British Open next month will be season's last major.

Agree. It was just kind of surprising for me to hear about Spieth. He's always been such a good guy, but I think its just frustration given his struggles. They've generally made a very good team. OFC

I agree. He's had a tough go of it recently....and when that happens to any of us, we sometimes don't react in the most favorable way. My guess is Jordan wishes he hadn't approached it in the way he did.

I’m guessing he wishes the cameras and mics weren’t right on him too. Jordan came off as a massive whiner, all day, not just then.

Wasn't aware of this Timo. Michael Greller Spieth's caddie is solid on the bag and well-respected as well among his peers. To his credit he blew it off later, saying "I didnt hear anything." Hopefully they get back on same page today.... OFC

Does Gary Woodland hold on or have a meltdown in today's final round of The Open? He has a one shot lead over Justin Rose. Koepka, Oosthuizen and Reavie are 4 back. McIlroy is in striking distance at 5 back.

Woodland was outstanding as a scrambler yesterday, saving par on a couple holes he appeared destined for bogey. However the tension mounts with the final round....

I feel like it’s finally Woodlands day. He has been knocking on the door for a couple of years for a major. Most everyone thinks Rose or Koepka. It should be fun to watch.

Maybe it's just me but does it get on anyone else's nerves when some fan yells "get in the hole." I think they yell it just because they know the television audience will hear him. I can just hear thosee guy when they go into work the next day telling their co-workers " did you guys hear me yelling yesterday during The U.S. Open "get in the hole." OFC

wish they would have a 5 second delay and mute the crowd for a couple of seconds after impact. It has to get on the pros nerves but I guess they are so locked in they don’t even hear it

I don’t really watch golf but my dad does and my family gets together for supper every Sunday and I was in the living room and my dad was watching the U.S. Open and Woodlsnd has been playing pretty good and was at -12 but he made a really bad shot a few holes ago that went way right and the cup was off to the left but I just flipped over just to see who’s leading and I see that he’s still at -12 even after that really bad shot a few holes ago.
