As much as I despise the cards, that looks pretty sweet with the Heisman bird.

Power K? No thanks. Too lame and boring.

something like this would be dope.

That cat looks like a house cat with a sweater on... And I too don't want the Power K back, it looked to much like the other KU school....
So no on the K, yes on the older UK logo we had for years... This new UK logo looks goofy and out of kilter... Maybe a ten year old from one of Nike's friend did it...

But the field did nothing to anybody. It's a good looking field and just because we are UK fans doesn't mean we can't acknowledge that.

I can and do, I hate every thing about the dirty bird brains and any team they have... I have hated them almost as long as I have ThugU... Only difference is the ugly orange play in the SEC... But I have hated U6 for a very long time, goes back many years....
I don't like any thing they build to make them look better either...

I completely resent the fact that no one took steps to keep them in a UAB-like box. I'd still like to put them back in that box. The Commonwealth is just too small for two P5 football programs.
Kentucky is bigger than alabama and they have two SEC programs in their state lol. But yeah, UL is a mid major historically.

I 'spose Bama can be proud. I recall someone pointing out the relative sizes in another thread on this board, but in a different context.

The Cardinal with teeth shows their arrogance, only Louisville would do that. They want look to good, that's more important than anything.

Good for them getting rid of the font with the pointy letters. Definitely more college and less janky looking now. For us…checkerboards be gone.
That pointy half-serif font screamed of unadulterated, Michael Bay, 300 (movie), goofy, manufactured, mid-2000s machismo. Honestly, good for UL moving away from it. Also a pretty big fan of the retro logo. Kentucky desperately needs to kick a Nike swoosh in the footballs for the two logos we have now.

For us, being free from the checkerboard gimmick might just be enough. Now we can focus on actually improving our look instead of trying to polish a checkered turd.

CM Newton

He is responsible for giving them the boost up. All to save season tix sales for the god-awful coach he hired and wanted to keep employed.

I'll say it. This is a nice field. I would do anything for the power K or a wildcat logo from the 70s, 60s, 50s, at midfield.

Louisville is our in state rival and because of that I will always be a Wildcat fan! However, I like the design a lot - I have no idea why UK can not seem to be more aggressive in its field logos and design. Have to give U of L credit for this one. Having said that all I can say is..............

Go Big Blue!

Also, Alabama's state footprint is 30% larger than Kentucky's for you geography guys!

Uh, you'd be incorrect.....Alabama has 5,098,987
Kentucky has 4,518,000

Just to further shoot down your argument that we're too small to have 2 P5 schools, Mississippi only has 2,930,000 and supports two P5 schools.........

Also another FBS school. Don't know about now, but a few years back Mississippi had the most players in NFL per captia.

No I wouldn't. I was basing that off state size.

Yeah I was really not a fan of UL's designs over the past couple decades. The font was lame, the designs were cartoonish. Their retro stylings in both basketball and football just look good - and in part imo signal at least the appearance of a break with a period of lowlife depravity and reconnecting with a more honorable era.

Louisville`s "proud history?" I can remember when UL was questioning their football program. They were going to move to 1AA or drop football all together. That was in the late 70`s and early 80`s. Then they decided to hire Howard and try to revive the program, which he did. That`s a "history" of about 35 years. Not very rich to me. They have had good runs during their Conference USA, AAC and Big East day`s, but not so much since moving to the ACC. They had Lamar Jackson and only won 8 regular season games with him.
It`ll be interesting to see how they do in the Big 12 conference in a few years.

That’s fanning right there now. Haha. You know, I’d like the dirty low down cards if their fans weren’t so awful to like. Kentucky is all they talk about and how we cheat, suck, ect! Lmao. You just can’t even be nice to them because they won’t let you. Now, of course they have a few really good people over there, but man, the majority of them just ruin their fanbase. If it wasn’t so funny I’d be mad about it. Hahahaha. Nice looking field though in my opinion and It’s going to be fantastic beating the dog poo out of them on it. Go Cats.

I despise them but I will give them credit. That is one heck of a good looking field.

I obviously love the Power K. I think it'd be beautiful on the helmet but as for midfield, I wouldn't mind seeing the logo of the taller K with Kentucky down the tall part and the wildcat head inside it or the plain old school wildcat head at midfield.

It's no secret Louisville athletics embraces their old logos while UK really doesn't and tries to come up with new stuff, which ends up being a copy of some other team's already established thing (checkerboards, Houston's logo, etc.). Then we mocked Louisville for having a DJ as if sporting events shouldn't have a fun, party-like atmosphere and then we did the same thing.

Our hype dept. kinda sucks but when you've got Mr. Excitement Mitch Barnhart in charge, what do you expect? I'm surprised we don't have UK-related sewing circles at games making wool hats for our guys for winter. The Louisville product may be crap but on tv it looks like 2022-2023. Our Secretariat obsession makes us look like our ideas are coming out of 1972.
