Geez, this board & fanbase needs something good to happen soon. I know it’s a marathon and not a sprint but some good news or a boom would be nice this week.
If they wait until after the ruling we're screwed. I'm all for upholding integrity but other programs are operating outside the lines. Pope can't afford to be a nice guy at UK or the job will eventually eat him. It's the wild west so have your finger on the trigger.

Liked this guy. Options are dwindling fast. Hope that Alvaro and Bailey stay available. Would like to have both if there isn't a big time shot blocker available. It would be nice to have the 7-3 guy on the roster. He can dominate at times.

I don't know, either, but I think it's the presentation and delivery. Probably being OCD with the analytics and turning players / agents off. Super nice guy, but he doesn't exactly instill confidence or make you want to run through a wall for him.
It’s a Barney led athletic department. He probably loves having power over the basketball program. This guy is as big a charlatan as cal. How he gets retained indefinitely. I saw a 2019 article that has the longest serving ADs and he was 3rd. Now he’s second longest. We need a cutthroat AD or just leave the conference especially for the sake of winning in fb. Barney Uber religious zealot whose life is ruled by money and his bean counter mind. We need a winner. And someone who will yes make sure our bb program is ruling the SEC every year as the first order of business. We have seen the FB ceiling for the time being. It was ok. Not even a ny6 bowl.

Honestly I’d sacrifice the football program to go 0-12 if it meant returning to the Kentucky basketball that we are supposed to be. This kind of thing you’re talking about is half the problem in my eyes. We are a basketball school and if we have schools out here with a bigger budget than us it shouldn’t happen. Whichever bowl the football team goes to really doesn’t matter that much at the end of the day.
So you both don't want the top ranked Portal Players? You guys want the same caliber of player we had this year or worse? I'm confused why its not okay for posters to express concern when we are consistently missing out on top targets.

Mainly because there is a long way to go in portal season and some have not even entered yet. Also because you, me or anyone else have ZERO idea whatmight be going on behind the scenes regarding player acquisition. Most of the really good teams haven't taken anyone from the portal yet. Hmm I wonder why. Why can't you people just chill out and let the process play out. As for the " caliber of player" we had this year, in my opinion at least, we could have contended for a FF had everyone remained healthy. Some of you have referred to them as portal " scraps" in some of these threads lately. I find that offensive and extremely small minded toward our coach and the players

There is a fine line of bashing and calling it like it is. Perhaps scraps is not the best word to use to describe them, and they did overachieve as a team with injuries. That is is awesome. Yet, criticism is still a valid thing to be said.

Can I get that updated infograph on how no other sweet16 teams are doing that well? Have to add one to Auburn now, who I'm not even sure has time to recruit when they're preparing to still play games.
Why Stoops is even coaching here this season is beyond me. He has regressed and needs to move on. He should have moved on a couple of years ago.
This season will be worse than last season. It’s hard to imagine being excited about and supporting the football team with him at the helm.
Wow, Pearl has been hit with a show cause penalty, I guess that doesn’t affect these kids nowadays. It doesn’t matter if the coach has been caught cheating or the school has been investigated like North Carolina* with Wilson. Money talks, all of the reasons I don’t watch the NBA are now beginning to rule college basketball, it will never be the same.

what did the top nil guys do last year in college basketball? sometimes numbers don't transfer over and sometimes players don't mesh well on certain teams.
There’s a difference between offering a guy a scholly and offering him 2 million plus (Demary’s reported asking price). Neither you - nor anyone else - can say we “missed” on a guy without knowing the facts.
I don’t normally agree with Sejonesy as I always felt he was a Cal apologist. But he’s right on this one.
A coach doesn't take the whole staff to have dinner at a guy's house unless he really wants him.
