UCLA Travel Hurdles

The state of California has laws precluding funding of travel to many states that do not have LGBTQetc laws that they approve. UCLA cannot use state funds to travel to several B1G states including Ohio and Indiana. They will have to find private funding for travel to ”non-conforming states”. Considering UCLA has budget issues, they may have to rely on private funding of travel

There are plenty of holes in the law, mostly that BTN/B1G money isn’t considered “state funds” and therefore OK to use for travel.
