They are idiots.
The discrepancy in Maui probably got worse every game because of how much of a maniac he was acting like, starting game 1.
He can coach but he is a psycho.

So I was curious and holy moly

Getting to the line Uconn = 29,6 FTR. 272nd
Fouling Uconn = 42.6 343rd.

That is one crazy negative differential for Uconn there lol.

Everything but the foul rate = very good lol.

I would find this funnier if a large portion of our fanbase wasn't actively blaming the refs for our losses as well.
EVERY fan base does it. Not just us. The point is they're acting like this is some new revelation and that that is the ONLY reason they're sucking.

We may gripe about officiating during and after a game, but we're also objective enough to go, "Man, Player X had a bad game. That hurt more than the refs."
It's basically like watching a teenager go, "Oh damn, my parents were actually right about somethings."

Wild how the "greatest coach in the effing game" can lose to 4 unranked teams and nearly a fifth.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to watch them miss the tournament.

They'd lose their little pea-brained minds in this conference.

They would need an epic collapse and the Big East isn’t strong enough for that.

i could only imagine this board after looking at the differences in the Uconn games what they would do if this was UK lol.

A counterpoint can be made that Hurley has brought this upon himself with his antics and treatment of the officials.

.. Where as Coach Pope is so nice that was outside at TV timeouts cleaning snow off the refs cars..

Let's say that's the case.

That makes their two titles to me then hell of impressive lol.

I actually don't even think this is because Hurley is an ***. I think it's just his style of defense. Looks like they've had fouling issues his entire time there. BUT they also have had top 10 defenses the last two seasons primary due to low opponents FG%.

I wonder now about that. Do teams that foul alot also compensate by allowing less in terms of FG%.

Cause I look at Houston which for the last EIGHT seasons, been in the top 10 in opponents FG% and mostly either 2nd or 1st and they also foul a ton. EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

Our problem is we foul a ton and we also allow a high 2 pt FG% against us.

This sport interests me so much cause there's so many things that are give and take. Like go for a block shot on defense, miss the block and then you are out of position and give up the offensive board.

Try to force turnovers and don't get them leading to easy shots by the opponent.

Things like that lol

I hate UConn and Hurley, especially as someone who has to see their fans here in the northeast, but is this really any different than our fans who blame the refs for every loss?

A bit considering they are quite protected at times. Especially since one of their titles is due to a lovely Rooferee.

Also, if we'd been coming of back to back title I doubt we'd be this concerned over refs. But who knows.

Not only irony. You’re “stupid” if you don’t blame officials for every loss. 😆
Dude, I got ignored for casually suggesting that the refs weren’t anti-UK. People are vicious over this topic and I’ve even offered to go clip by clip (using my own personal time). I know we all have different opinions but you can’t talk sensibly with some

Remember fighting with that scum about the H. Diallo recruitment. They can all sit on it and spin!
