First drive looked promising. Stalled after two incomplete passes. Second drive kept alive from a long run by Skipper on 3rd and 10.

Our play calling is a big fail so far. We can't blame it on a QB that can't throw, either. Meanwhile, UCONN had a couple of great play calls, leading to the first points of the day.

We will have to open things up to get our offense going.

UCONN packing it in on the line to stop the run. Pretty much daring Tulsa to throw over them. So far haven't seen Tulsa throw down field much lately.

Line is fine. Play calling and Skipper’s inability to read coverage and just throwing to his first option every time is the problem. Plus if you keep throwing the ball short into triple coverage it’s going to get picked. We won’t run or throw a slant anymore and all of our outs may go 1 yd beyond the LOS. I think that’s more a function against the route running on the WRs.

Defense still getting to the ball quickly and getting pressure on the QB with just the DL

UCONN's defense looks like Bama!

Good Lord... we can't get anything downfield. I want skipper to just air one long --- throw it over everyone if necessary --- just to show something different.

The game plan appears to be more of the same. Stay ultra conservative, manage the risks, wear them down. The only question is whether UCONN put up a lead that we cant exceed if and when UCONN wears down.

Defense doing good, to think if the offense came to play, we would be owning them, hope they wake up right here

WTF is it with this play calling? Do we need to bring Brennan Marion back as our OC?

Brooks is going to be a stud. Already is actually. If we can develop any sort of passing game to open things up for him it will be a very fun team to watch.

The play calling is dictated/limited by the QB’s ability/inability to make the correct decision and throw the ball at the correct time.

Skipper does not get through his progressions easily or quickly. Our WRs don’t exactly run the most precise or crisp routes to create space for him either. He may be able to throw the ball but if he is not recognizing the coverage and throwing to the right/open receiver, the offense as a whole is going to look disjointed.

Brooks still has like 70 yds rushing and yet UCONN can tee off on the run because our passing game is not scaring anyone.

Does Hefley get a shot to show his ability to throw the football?

60 yards passing in the first half against the worst passing defense in the country. You have to believe a better strategy or use of higher percentage tactics would have yielded more yards and at least one score.

The big play on 3rd and 6 at midfield on the first possession of the second half by the opposing team is just a slayer. If Tulsa wants to chase the game, they are setting themselves up nicely.

Does Monty call the plays? Wtf is wrong with this offense? A Tulsa defense that holds anyone to 3 points at half should win... Easily. Fire Monty.
