one of the best half court defensive efforts i’ve ever seen. closing out on the pack line was impressive
Tonight’s game reminded me of the Pitino years. Great D and sluggish offense.
I think the Cards were tight in the first half offensively. McMahon and a few others had shots we've seen them knock down not go.

Ugly or pretty. That’s a Quad 1 win in the chase for a 1 seed. That’s all that matters.
Michigan was averaging 82.4 points/game. UofL holds them to...43. THAT is a strong defensive effort right there.
We have becomeVirginia tonight playing that pack line D tenaciously and winning ugly, but I can live with wins shutting down top teams

It was Virginia ugly, but Cardinal beautiful. I was totally impressed with how far the defense has come in a year.
I think the players are finally learning Mack's defense. One of the best defensive efforts I have ever witnessed. Michigan never had a perfect look at the basket. Every shot they took, their feet were either off balance from pressure or someone was right there in their face. It was a thing of beauty.
