Alabama went on final 4 run, then we were arranged to face them twice
Florida won a championship, then we are arranged to play Florida twice
Lots of things being arranged. I wonder who the "arrangers" are.Alabama went on final 4 run, then we were arranged to face them twice
Florida won a championship, then we are arranged to play Florida twice
I hope soOn paper:
Starters
G Lowe > Lee- I think Lee is a tad bit overrated, and Lowe is underrated. Two years in the ACC is better experience than three in the Ivy League.
G Aberdeen > Fland- experience (3 years in the SEC vs. a few games in the SEC) trumps potential. Also Aberdeen is bigger and better defensively.
G/F Oweh > Haugh- All-SEC player over a potential All-SEC player.
F Dioubate < Condon- All-SEC player over a role player.
F Quaintance < Chinyelu- once angain experience over potential.
Bench
G Johnson < AJ Brown- experience over potential.
G Chandler = Klavzar- Push. Similar stats and same level of experience.
G Williams > Ingram- experience over potential.
F Jelavic = Mikic- both relative unknowns.
F Garrison > Handlogten- better stats.
I’m going with experience over potential, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Fland and Haugh bust out for UF and/or Quaintance, Johnson, and Jelavic do the same for UK.
I like UK’s backcourt better (led by Oweh and Aberdeen) and UF’s frontcourt better (led by Condon and Chinyelu). I like UK’s overall depth better.
X-factor: I think Aberdeen will have a “revenge game” motivation and play out of his head against the Gators in these games, similar to Oweh against his former team (OU), Robinson against his former team (A&M) and Wagner and company (Arkansas) against their former team (UK). Revenge for perceived wrongs is a great motivator in sports.
I think the teams split, with both teams winning at home.
If JQ is healthy, I’d rather have him than Fland.I hope so
Fland is hard to predict
He could also make huge progress and be AA level player
JQ could be the same
We will see after season starts
Alabama went on final 4 run, then we were arranged to face them twice
Florida won a championship, then we are arranged to play Florida twice
I am glad. Bring it on. I was upset we didn't play each other last year twice. You guys are upset about this?! I was upset last year that we only got a chance to play UK once. I'm excited to see the Cats on the schedule twice next season.
And, apparently, we have to travel to Duke at Cameron Indoor. Hope we get the return visit from them the following season.

Aberdeen > Fland? Not sure I agree with that. Aberdeen is a decent CBK player, but imo Fland is a better player. Wouldn't be shocked if the teams split the series. On paper:

I like the revenge factor for Aberdeen. On paper:

Right now I think Aberdeen could be better. I agree that Fland is probably the better long term prospect. I don't really care about that though. Could go either way this year.Aberdeen > Fland? If Fland transferred to UK and was the starting PG, and Aberdeen stayed at UF I don't think any UF or UK fan would say Aberdeen is better. He averaged 14 and 5 as a freshman as the focal point of every scouting report.Right now I think Aberdeen could be better. I agree that Fland is probably the better long term prospect. It would be different if Fland was a better shooter.Aberdeen > Fland? Not sure I agree with that. Aberdeen is a decent CBK player, but imo Fland is a better player. Wouldn't be shocked if the teams split the series.
