UK had same problem Ole Miss had last night

FSU wore them down with an up tempo, spread offense the second half. Ran all over their D.

Solutions -
(1) Hold the ball on O with a running attack - really missed Horton's power game.
(2) Depth in the front 7 to offset time on field - not a luxury we have.

I'm all in with Stoops. Doing a good job but still need depth on the DL. Too bad that Meant was caught playing with guns.

We still only have a couple senior starters on each side of the ball.

Nope. Ole Miss was playing the #4 team in the nation. UK was playing an unranked CUSA team with a coach in his 1st season there. Not even in the same universe as being comparative.

It's crazy that Hugh Freeze can't develop any semblance of a running game. Limits to what you can do in the SEC without one ... and leaves you really vulnerable to comebacks like last night.

We don't have the OL to do that, ever. Boom isn't a possession back, he's a home run hitter. Kemp isn't talented enough. We might be able to use screens and such to mimic a run game. We need to get the play in fast, get up to the line, and let the clock tick a bit. Maybe use motion to keep them off balance. We cannot run.

But like I've said in previous posts, I'll be on my couch Saturday at 3:30pm, cold beer in hand, spread-eagled and waiting to get kicked in the ding ding yet again.

Better than a stick in the eye.

1. #4 FSU and one of two best RB in Dalvin Cook vs. So. Miss and whoever those 2 RBs are.
2. I'm over the experience card...
- His first inherited class are now Srs
- His first true class are now Jrs
- Stoops is having to pick at JUCO ranks on the trenches and he's missing way more than he's hitting lately.
- We keep losing kids for odd reasons on attrition cycle...Nick Richardson, Jon Krok, Meant, Tubman, LaRubio, etc.. Probably need to find the kids that are legit and need to keep them on roster to make it to their Sr years.

Basically agree with you but the experience thing is a factor. Consider the 2-deep LBs...only 3 of the 8 have played a down of SEC football. And only one of those, Ware, really has any serious PT. Jones and Allen's time in '15 was token.

As for attrition...Richardson and Krok apparently are finished. Meant and Tubman are in the OVC, not sure about LaRubbio. Would've been good had all stayed I guess but only Meant and possibly Tubman would've helped.

You did not just say stoops is doing a 'good job'? You have every right to say you're all in with the man, even though you're wrong. But please for the love of god do not. And i repeat. Do not tell me he's doing a good job. If that's what a good job looks like for stoops I REALLY don't wanna see what a bad job from him looks like.
