Need depth…doubt he’s gonna be a starter if he attends UK
Do not think this guy will be starter or maybe even in main rotation
But I like him

2. Many players have not officially in portal so Pope can not "officially" reach out

I would hope we are selective and have reached out to very few players at this point. Don’t forget we are in the tournament THIS YEAR we have plenty of months to worry about next year.
I don't mind going to for this guy.. but he simply can't be recruited as our #1 option next year. And I'm not saying he is or anything. But my preference with a guy like this is to recruit him to be a 6th man type, for now.. and if he shows he can play at the high D1 level, then his minutes will grow.

We are going to have 15 scholarship starting next year. Taking a guy like this could be a big pay off.

Guys like Freeman build the roster and is what we need. Add the MDAA's to a solidify the roster then add good coaching. IMO, this a reasonable and best approach in college BB today.

Yeah, who would want a 6'8 sophomore athlete to be who avg. 19 pts, shot 58% and 45% from 3 and 80% form the line. LMU is a big D@ program and the SAC is a strong conference.
My daughter is a GA for the women's program and said he is INSANELY good. Super athletic. Said Tenn is on him, LMU is about an hour from Knoxville. Said he has many other Big D1s looking at him. Think her exact words were " He's about to get PAID"!!!

I wouldn’t mind having this kid as a development piece, but I don’t think these rankings mean a lot, they had BG ranked ahead of everyone on our team but Robinson last year
You can have up to 15 scholarships next year. You 100% take a flyer on a potential NBA talent to fill out your roster. Can't believe this is even up for debate.
