UK is talking about a possible blowout over us

They are speculating that Gameday could be lured to Lexington for their matchup with UGA if they beat us badly enough. Can't blame them for feeling that way I guess.

Maybe our best hope is that they'll be looking ahead to UGA and we catch them sleeping.

Sleepwalking would be acceptable and the Gamecocks showing up well prepared.
Then we might walk away with a win.

If UK does blow us out, then LSU comes into Columbia and does the same, I see Beamer losing the locker room and the whole season spiraling into the abyss. Hoping for different, but that's the 'feel'.

Its sadly funny that UK people are as delusional as we are.

They are going to blow us out. The Beamer experiment was predictable and forseeable.

If all of the anonymous "coach" quotes about Beamer is from Stoops, then I would bet he is shooting for a blowout, total embarrassment. Stay frosty.

Look at our record under Beamer in September. Pretty bad....
I'm still hoping we are better than we looked.
Who remembers us beating Georgia just to get beat down the next week by Vanderbilt?
College football is a crazy game.

They are such a powerhouse. Stoops averages 6.6 wins a year over his first 11 years. He is in year 12 now. Yeah give me some of that.

I have no doubt UK will come out trying to rattle Sellers' cage. Hopefully he will stay calm and hit a few short high percentage passes early and go from there.

They will stack the box most downs and send the house on passing downs until we prove we can overcome. We don't look fast enough to beat anyone laterally. We're gonna need the defense and special teams to show out. Need turnovers, blocked punts, long field goals and defensive scores to win.

If last week is any indication, there are no high percentage passes.

Give me 150 yards rushing and 175-200 passing and we could win this game. Can we do that , especially after what we saw last week? There is no reason to think so, but I just put on my garnet colored glasses and I’m hoping This scenario only works if the defense plays lights out. The only other way we win is by defensive and special teams scores. All of this is a lot, a very lot to ask.

If we play like we did last week…it’ll be ugly. And that’s possible.

What humors me is that time and time again we see our team play ugly games, especially in the openers, yet somehow we still figure out to win games from time to time…yet people act like who we were last Saturday will be exactly who we are every week.

does it make them a bad fan? No. Does it make them someone who clearly doesn’t understand football? Probably.

We may not be better today. But people acting like we’re going to play the exact same way as we did last week going forward…no team in college football does that.

I think 90% of it is frustration. Which is frustrating in itself as it becomes almost impossible to have reasonable discussion on a discussion board. But the other 10% is just stupidity.

I agree with that. And it's Kensucky after all.

Sellers needs to come out and trust his instincts a little more and pull the trigger on pass plays. As unfair as it is, our whole season pretty much depends on his development.

This. It’s not uncommon to see a young QB be timid. Usually have 1 of 2 extremes early…they won’t throw for risk of turning it over. Or they try to fit every pass in and throw a ton of picks

To me, this is easily fixable. I like that he’s protecting the football. Now he just has to just go out there and play faster. I really believe we’ll see a huge difference in him today. I’m just not confident in what we have around him.

I'm becoming more optimistic as I see Arkansas up by 2 tds at the half against Okl. State on the road. I know one game has nothing to do with the other. But still....

I think we will play extremely well in this game, 180 degrees from the Old Dominion game. I just don't think we are as bad as we looked against ODU.
Honestly... why do you think this?

Rattler and leggette were the only things keeping yall from 3 wins the last few years...
