Is this LSU protecting the number 1 pitcher is college baseball Paul Skenes? No weather in the area, nothing on radar but there is a chance of a pop up storm that would cut his start short.

The fear was there was going to be pop up storms after the game started. If it was long delay Skeens likely would not be able to resume. Thus LSU loses its best pitcher.

The UK game should have started hours ago and whatever happened should have been part of the game.

You nailed it. I live in Baton Rouge and there hasn't been any lightning around today. And I see no reason for another hour delay weather wise.
track and field has been bumped from ESPN2 to ESPN News due to Texas/Stanford running over. For those that want to watch on ESPN News looks like you will have to wait til the end of UT/Stanford currently top 9th 5-5 runner on 3rd 1 out for Texas
Reading the comments from that tweet, seems like fans of both sides are mad. Game would have been over now had it started at the regular time -- sounds like it hasn't rained in the stadium this whole time.
Another words LSU doesn't want to start their ace pitcher if the game might be delayed and waist his start.
Decision makers for handling this game has been ridiculously bad. If they’d played at the original time they’d be done by now and back in their hotel rooms. What a **** show by the NCAA and host site. Oops that’s LSU. Imagine that.
