If we beat Auburn, I think we end up in Atlanta or Indianaoplis if we make it out of the first weekend. Possibly as a 2 seed if we win out the reg season and get a win in Nashville

We could get to a 2, but we will need to win Auburn and 1 more plus a couple in SEC tournament.

I keep seeing UConn and Gonzaga around that 8/9 seed. I know they haven’t performed well at times this year but those are two teams I think could give Duke a game. And I know it might sound crazy but if Arkansas could play their way up to a 9 seed they could be a scary match up.
Adou is the kind of guy that could slow down Flagg.

Beat Auburn or Missouri and LSU and we should be a 3, regardless of what we do in the SEC tourney.

The only thing that could possibly knock us off the 3 line with those wins is a loss in the first SEC tourney game to a Quad 2 opponent (SCAR and LSU are currently the only ones possible).

Every other team we could play in the SEC tourney is a Quad 1 game. That shouldn’t knock us down at all. Not with the quality of wins we would have.

I don’t think people recognize how strong our resume is.

Look at how we compare when it comes to Quad 1 records. We are tied with Auburn for the most Quad 1 games played this season. We are tied for third for the most Quad 1 wins.

Here are the top 15 in the NET rankings and how many Quad 1 games they have played and their record according to the NCAA.com NET rankings:

1 Auburn- 17(15-2)
14 Kentucky- 17(9-8)
6 Alabama- 15(10-5)
9 Arizona- 15(7-8)
4 Tennessee- 14(9-5)
13 Michigan St.- 13(9-4)
12 Missouri- 13(6-7)
11 Wisconsin- 12(7-5)
3 Houston- 11(7-4)
15 Maryland- 11(5-6)
10 Iowa St.- 10(5-5)
2 Duke- 9(6-3)
5 Florida- 9(5-4)
7 Texas Tech- 9(5-4)
8 Gonzaga- 8(2-6)

Very possible, just depends on if the committee wants to put a 2 seed and a 1 seed from the same league in the same bracket.

Atlanta will 100% be Auburn as the 1 seed most likely, so it would be the committee putting us as their 2 seed.

I'm more focused on us getting at least the 3 seed, and making sure we get either Michigan State (hopefully) or Wisconsin as our 2 seed. I would be ecstatic!

Indy would be a great option, but I'm concerned about having Marquette or Michigan State if were there. I really think we are just about a lock for a 3 and a slim chance at a 2 seed. No matter what seed we are, I just want UK to make it to atleast the Sweet 16!

#3 three seed in bracket matrix - http://www.bracketmatrix.com/
Yup!. Just Keep in mind, it lags by a few--sometimes several days.

You can follow a lot of the individual bracketologists on Twitter, and they update almost daily.

Most I follow seem to have us as the top 3 seed. We're knocking on the door for the 2 line. We could wake up Monday as a 2 seed, and then gotta fight to hold on to it.

Agree 1,000%. 2 seed vs 3 seed doesn't matter a ton. Whoever you knock out of being a 3 seed, is likely who we'll play as our 2 seed. And if we don't knock them out, we're still likely to see them.

They'll definitely want to avoid an SEC rematch in the Sweet 16 where possible. So we probably don't see Florida or UT.

Hold onto a 3 seed, and you avoid the 1 seed until the Elite 8. You likely avoid the top 4 SEC teams.

Still in South Region with Auburn. Our 6 is Marquette.

13 SEC teams in, but the Big Ten has now got 11 teams in. My Lord, they're so over-rated.

Purdue a 4 after losing 4 straight including to IU, id be pissed if I'm Mizzou at a 5. Also IowaSt still a 2 after 2 straight losses including #95 14-14 OkSt. WTF???

We don't have a loss half that bad. We have 9 Quad 1 wins to their 5 and play in a much tougher, toughest conference there is. They lost 3 straight awhile back including 1 to 13-15 KST #82. There wins aren't nearly as good as ours.

Noway in hell does IowaSt belong ahead of us. #82 best them by 19. Total bs!!!

Some of these rankings are baffling. Iowa St. and Purdue must have both had a great out of conference schedule.

Officials would have 2 fouls on Adou during warmups if he was going to guard Flagg

IowaSt has one top 30 win out of conference against #24. They only played 2 top 30, went 1-1 losing to AUB. They played a weak non conference schedule.

Purdue did play a good non conference and went 3-3. They have 1 win against top 30 since conference play started. IowaSt has 2. For reference in conference play we have 5 top 30 wins with 3 of them top 5.

The committee would *never*.

Dukes 8 and 9s will likely be some lesser p5 team and a midmajor... Creighton and New Mexico look about right.

To have a hope in hell of that happening that "1 more" will have to be a win at Mizzou and also not a loss against LSU.

I had them going 2-4 down the stretch so they’ve already exceeded expectations in my book. If they pull off an upset tomorrow I’d be extremely impressed.

The ACC should not get more than 3 teams in.

UNC 1 Quad 1 win (UCLA)

SMU 0 Quad 1 win

Wake 2 Quad 1 win (UNC AND SMU😂)

You think that’s bad?

Wait until they expand the tournament to 70+ teams and crowd out more and more smaller schools for 16-17 win Virginia Techs.

The same small schools that play nobody.

I'd rather another sec team get in then some tiny team that plays no one. I'm using a sec team as my example because it's very relevant this season.

With thinking like yours there won’t be an NCAA tournament in 10 years so congrats on that I guess

The small schools still get in. I don't see what you are even getting on about. I'm talking about the extra 4 spots they may add. They should go to teams that beat someone with a pulse. IMO. We don't have to agree.

Getting blown out at home not going to help our NET or our chances to get a 3 seed. I know no one really cares about that now when we are losing but we will care in 2 weeks.

We really need Kansas to beat Texas Tech today

This team had some great wins this season, but their consistently not being ready to play the first halves of games, and a coach who's still trying to figure out things as part of his three year assignment, tells me a 3 seed would be too high.

Today he has 12 SEC teams in, and 11 Big Ten teams. Come on, Joe! Really?
I wonder what the SEC's record was against the Big 10 teams?

** Edit**

If I counted correctly the SEC is 11-9 against the Big 10 with ironically 19-11 Illinois and 16-13 having 4 of the 9 wins.

We win three more games and we're a lock for a 3 seed. And we might get a 2 depending on other circumstances.

It's amazing when you stop and think about it, but as we sit here on the eve of playing LSU, if we win 3 more games, we should have a 3 seed locked up, period.

Somehow I'm almost sure the selection committee will find a way to get us down to, at best, a 4 seed. Maybe a 5. I wouldn't mind it if they went ahead and dropped us to a 6 seed, depending on who they would match us up with, and I don't think it would matter, if we had a 6 seed, who that would be .... screw it and the entire selection process.

It's getting down to the end of this long rollercoaster season. I've enjoyed it immensely. We'll be alright, though, we got Coach Pope !

Trust in Coach Pope !

Go Big Blue !
