Not a popular take. But the dunking cardinal and uniforms are badass. Full stop. Why isn’t UK embracing our 1990s era clawing wildcat? I will never understand why we remain with Nike.

I’m going to 100% agree with that. Nice court and nice logo. But the way they hurt the cardinals logo, as a STL cardinals guy, makes it garbage.
But, the Louisville spelled out on the baseline in that sort of retro block font looks great too. I like Kentucky spelled in big letters think it looks great and we rarely do it.
our stuff just has no kick. That’s the AD approving whatever Nike throws across his desk. Say it often, UK is in desperate need of an AD that cares about things other than university rent payments.

Nike has treated UK like a red headed stepchild the last 5-6 years. No creative or innovative designs. Barnhart must sign off on ideas.
Moreover, the YUM center made Rupp arena look bad last night. Place was rocking!
UK deserves better.
Imagine 1994 apex throwbacks? Or the old clawing wildcat center court in grey, with blue and white UK in the middle? Louisville has made that logo their basketball logo. The card head is the university logo. Idk, I’ve hated our branding since 2016.
Let’s do the 1994 Apex and call it a day. Killer font on those too. As a little kid that’s when Kentucky because seared in my mind. T$9:3 fonts to me are the best. Some people like the small font “tubby” years. Not me, I absolutely hated the Ramel Bradley years uniforms. Kentucky in that small font really really bothered me back then.
Btw, I’ve shown it before the jersey I was discussing the other day - great looking but a very uncommon that most don’t know about as far as jerseys was the 89/90 ASICS. They were only wore for a few games, I think 2 exhibitions and 2 regular season games or close to that while we were waiting in the champion contract to clear. ASICS was only producing smaller programs apparel and kentucky asked them to make us uniforms for a very short period. Very rare. Yet to meet a UK fan that knows about them. That’s the Travis Ford gsme used jersey that Joe Hall gave to us after a game.
if someone loves the basic UK stuff, it’s a middle ground jersey and looks really good imo. Not small font not large. White down the sides, basic but nice. We’ve wore a lot of different apparel but I just haven’t caught many that knew we wore ASICS. Neat ****.

Bring back the Tubby era Wildcat and make that the center court logo, retro Kentucky Font on the sidelines. Make the 2003-2005 kinda Jerseys the look.
Don’t worry guys they already said we were gonna bring back denim this year. All is well.

yea i see this often and we’re gonna disagree on that Fox. Never was a fan of the small font rounded Kentucky jerseys. I prefer the larger font 90’s it looks so damn good. I’ll post it this is a game used Travis Ford ASICS jersey that we wore for a few exhibition and 2 regular season games in the 89/90 season I believe. Don’t isn’t that rounded small but not the oversized I prefer. white or blue down the sides.

Of course the game used Icicle Tony delk 00 blows all of these out to me. I’ll throw it on here sometime. The font from those is what I think looks best

1978 throwback seems to be a popular one. Found one got the 2011 FF team on it. Not sure with the picks have to click it wtf. Not messing with it. Those 78’s had a good font one of the best imo. I just think those large fonts that say Kentucky look way better than the small ones. Man I hated those small ones from tubby years.
