first congrats on the game! You deserved a well fought game!
I think Steven Johnson was the best QB on the field today. I think Lamar has the ability to be a great QB but I think he actually lost us the game today. If he takes care of the ball chances are we score 7. But then U.K. Would still had a chance to come back and score on our porous defense.
We are not who we thought we were! No way we match up with the likes of OSU. Bama or
Michigan.
Again congrats on a good win and good luck in your bowl game

I still think Lamar is the best player in college FB. Even after the FSU game when teams would shade him, spy him, take him out of options and make him pitch it he still did what he wanted. Sure he had a few costly turnovers but without him I'm not sure you guys win as many as you did this year. Kids gonna be a handful next year as his arm will keep getting better. A great player and IMO still deserves the trophy.

Jackson had the option to hand the ball off but called his own number on his last drive, and ended up turning it over, I think he was trying to boost his Heisman chances.

Lamar did show class on CJ's website after game vid. He said the loss was on him.

I think he was wrong. The rest of his team didn't do their part. (except Quick)

at that point in the game, you believe he is thinking about an individual award over winning the game? c'mon!

Jackson is that offense. His agility hides the horrible offensive line. His ability to run and play action passing also keeps the defense from focusing on the runningbacks. He got greedy today on the passing game, the fumble is a problem with his form he's had all season but its hard to work on fundamentals when you're constantly running for your life because your team cant block. Lamar is good, the rest of that offense meh. I don't look forward to facing Lamar again next season but I hope you keep Grantham forever.

Was a good ball game today. Lamar is the best player in college football, IMO. Kid has been awesome this season. Good luck in your bowl game.

JonK65, Thanks very much for your post. I respectfully disagree on Jackson. He is an excellent athlete, and after reading about him in the Courier Journal, I have a lot of respect for him. He is a class individual. I hope he wins the Heisman, and without him, Louisville would be a 500 ball club. Best of luck to you.

Don't see it. Based on the way he plays, he wanted to take matters into his own hands.

Thanks OP. Congrats on an amazing season. I still think Jackson wins the Heisman. Nobody else is even close in my opinion.

Well if you were listening to the announcers you'd think a football game broke out during a Heisman conversation.

1) Kid deserves the talk..wouldnt bother any of us if it was Boom or Snell getting the hype.
2) I dont pay much attention to announcers as I watch a game.
3) Was listening to Leach and Piecoro since I couldnt watch at the time.

By doing the 'Heisman pose' after one of his scores says he was thinking about winning it and was why he called his own number.

But without Jackson, Louisville would have been a 5-7 to 6-6 team this yr.

I have never been one who applauds the over enthusiastic self adulation on the field I. E. Heisman pose or whatever. I want my team to let there play do the talking. Win the game and then do your posing! I am still a big fan of my team and Lamar. Sometimes our guys read too much into the media attention. I think that was obvious over these past two weeks. Part of that is on the coaches. But take nothing away from the Cats.
They came with their A game

is the late fumble the only play he is thinking heisman? just the keepers? long pass plays? scrambles?

He wanted to win. Nothing wrong with that. Freakish play. Even great players have tough spells. He makes the Cards contenders. Period. Without him, Louisville is a top half ACC team. With him, a top five national team.
He took the loss on himself. Gotta class.
Wonder why he didn't ask why the coach didn't call for three knees and kick a game winner as time expired....

I'm proud of the Cats today. I'm not proud of fans that criticize the best player in the country that laid it all on the line today, and happened to fumble late. I'm certainly glad we got the ball, but Benny's fumble could have been the most important fumble in the game if everyone is honest.
