I am a life- long, hard core, UK fan living in L'ville since the 70's. I have hated UL for more years than most on this board have been on this earth, As a kid, I cheered for Russia vs. UL in a Freedom Hall exhibition game during the Cold War. (not proud of that,in hindsight)

For the first time in my life, I am cheering hard for UL to win. Their players, particularly Lee and Lewis, deserve as much support as possible. Even if it is from a rival fan who has always hated UL and always will.

If I can agree to a cease fire, anyone can.

It would be really cool if all of BBN showed support for this UL team the remaining 9 games. Never thought I would say this, but Go Cards!!

I will reboot my hatred for you next year! Go Cats!!!

First, this is the football board, not the basketball board.

Second, you should be very proud, in hindsight, that you cheered for Russia.

Third, their players deserve no support, and that includes the two players who left their previous teams to get greater exposure to NBA scouts. They'll still get that exposure, and they'll not lose any draft position over this. And, if it's just about the tournament, and not the NBA draft, they could have played in the tournament with the schools that they abandoned.

Finally, "eff" Louisville, their fans, and the university, and all those who support or have sympathy for them.

I seriously doubt if very many UL fans cheered for UK when we were on probation back in the early 90's. They are reaping what they have sown as far as I'm concerned. Hopefully the NCAA will check out the FB program and see if they can find anything there while they're at it.

If they do that, my guess is, they'll find plenty. A filthy program is filthy in all sports.

Speaking of which, does anyone else think the NCAA may be getting close to coming down on them? Usually when a team self imposes post season bans and such it's usually to soften the blow the NCAA gives them. Maybe hoping the NCAA will go away since they punished themselves? What do you all think?

My hope is, they get hammered. HAMMERED.

The self-imposition of sanctions to the NCAA is not like a plea bargain, where the defendant pleads with a guaranteed sentence. It's more like a pre-arrest confession to the police where the defendant HOPES that it will help him. It's very possible that the NCAA comes down on UofLol like a hammer, and well they should.

That's what we did with the Mumme violations but clearly that did not help us. I think we lost like 19 scholarships over three years. Ask Rich Brooks how hard that was to overcome.

I wish them only the worst. Their fans are the worst , always complaining about coach Cal,leaving two, programs in trouble like he screwed up. Camby contacted an agent and the ncaa cleared D Rose, but these people never get it.

You can't even ask a question on their boards without getting banned within minutes of your post , yet their fans come on here with a plea for their mercy.UNBELIEVABLE. I hope the NCAA slaughters them . Scholarship losses around 8, post seasons around 5, with a provision of 3+ this post season play ,if all their fans shave their line beards and get G E D,s.

No real UK fan is CAPABLE of cheering for UofL.

I feel bad for the kids and SOME of the fans, but I'd be an effing lyer if I said that I would ever "cheer" for them, let alone "cheer hard"!

LOL! You are going soft. Cease fire sounds like it's some kind of military battle between us and them. But this is a media driven story about a Grand Jury investigation. Personally I don't care what happens to other schools. But UL committed major violations and got caught by a prostitute who wrote a book. That story is gold for lots of people with lots of angles. It ain't going away anytime soon.

I wish people felt as much empathy for the kids that have to do without one of their parents when they are sentenced to prison. Now those kids deserve some sympathy but these men just made a bad decision and gave almost no weight to what has been public record ever since a certain Italian restaurant became famous for something other than their meatballs.

To the OP: No.

Lewis and Lee screwed their programs to go to UL.

Louisville is a dirty program from top to bottom, they have shady characters in all major public jobs (president, AD, Football coach, and basketball coach). They're deserving of everything that they got, and then some.

Definitely a UL fan. He used to just go by Kratz. I remember him posting over here.
