We are 2 for 2 in the "unacceptable performance" category this year. No way is it acceptable to lead a mid major 35-10 and lose by giving up 34 straight. A loss at the swamp is acceptable, the effort given yesterday is not.
This really shouldn't come as a surprise as this happened several times last year. IMHO the Lafayette, Eastern Ky, Vandy and UL efforts were not acceptable. The 3rd and 4th year in a coaches tenure should not produce results like this. I could even accept a fluke "no show" for a half or a game once or even twice a year as that happens to good programs also.
We have some talent on this team, we now have the facilities to compete and if you give the fans any hope at all we will show up and support. It is very reasonable to expect a 4th year coach to produce a bowl season at least. I don't see this happening and if it doesn't and the staff is retained any gains we may have made in recruiting will be lost.
Someone please give me reason to see something positive about our football program.
