I have made an attempt at a bracketology of my own, and one thing that seems clear is that we will likely be paired with either North Carolina or Louisville in the Sweet Sixteen. Both of them are likely #4/5 seeds, which means they most likely won't be in the same region with each other, nor will they be in the region with Duke or Virginia. So we will get one or the other in our region as the #4 or #5.

Neither gets past the round of 32 IMO, so there will be much whining about this on here Sunday evening for nothing.

Spot on . I think the ACC has 1 #1 seed. And i think it ends up being Duke as UVA will lose early IMO in the ACCT.

How on Earth is a 28-3 Duke and/or a 29-2 Virginia not a 1 seed ? If Duke and/or Virginia lose in the ACC Tournament and Wisconsin wins the Big 10 Tournament, then I see Virginia and/or Duke dropping to a 2 seed and Wisconsin going up to a 1 seed. But what if all three of them stumble in their Conference Tournaments ? What then ?

There are really six teams worthy of a #1, Wisconsin and Arizona in addition to Duke, Villanova, Virginia and us. Then there is a big drop off. So pick whoever you want as the overall #2, I would still go with UVA, and then put the other four teams in the same two regions and make them fight it out. I would put us in Cleveland, UVA in Syracuse. Then Villanova/Wisconsin in LA, and Duke/Arizona in Houston.

UL could absolutely be in Duke's bracket as a 4 seed because they only played once. If they play twice (ACC tournament) then they couldn't be paired in seeds that high up the bracket because of conference affiliation. Lunardi has had UL in Duke's bracket as a 4 seed before.

But that's why it was so weird for some people to pull for UL over Virginia. It affected UL's seed, not UVA's. Made no sense.

I'd prefer to face UNC in the tournament simply to make the all-time head-to-head 15-23 overall instead of 14-23. I want to cut into UNC's lead while we have great teams. Give me the Heels all day long. We'd smash them and break their collective hearts in one full swoop.

I feel we'd beat both teams. If I had to pick I'd say UNC, I think they'd try and actually run with us and we already saw what happened. UL would really muck the game up, especially since they are so desperate to beat us. I see a UL game getting ugly in a hurry and I would rather not go through that especially since wed play two days afterwards in the EE.

Either way I think we win both games, but if I had a chose I'd take UNC

I thought the same thing. I would love to play Arizona this year too, because we're 2-3 all-time against them. We're 1-5 against Coach K, so it would be nice to get a win against them this year as well.
