Attended my first home game since the ugly loss to Minnesota in 2019. Walking out of RF early in the 4th quarter, it felt eerily similar.

Dreadful, moribund offense with an untenable QB by committee. The worst defense we have seen in years (including 2019). They’re getting absolutely rolled by even quasi-competent competition. It’s very, very ugly. Game felt over literally after our first play from scrimmage (fumble recovered for TD after a false start).

I didn’t panic after the 2019 disaster, but I also believed Fitz when he pledged such a season would never happen again. He then led the team to one of the best seasons in school history and a top ten finish (when fans couldn’t watch a minute of it in person, frustratingly). We are now in the midst of another very bad season. The QB/recruiting problems, the consistent lack of serious scoring ability, and the nosedive in every aspect of the D (post Hank) are all very concerning. It was nice to be back in the building, but by the end of the game, I was ready for the bulldozers.

I had to laugh when NUMB played Go U at halftime (good Halloween themed show) while spelling out BOO! on the field. Fitting! Yuck.

Disagree totally! We need mobility at the quarterback position and Marty provided it! We would be contending for the West title if Marty started the entire season! Hillinski needs more time but is a solid qb too!
