Unfortunately, I’m going to be at work and can’t watch. I’ve been at a new job since May and can’t sneak away and watch on my phone like I used to..I’m turning my phone off and watching a replay when I get home at midnight.
I personally think we win by double digits, I rarely gamble but thinking about putting up a little bit on the Cats tomorrow night.
road team is always underdog when the teams are closely ranked. plus we have looked pretty bad 2 out of the last 3 games.Unfortunately, I’m going to be at work and can’t watch. If you can’t trust an accountant, who can you trust?I strongly advise everybody to take out a mortgage on your home tomorrow and bet it all on Kentucky. Trust me, I'm an accountant.
I’ve watched a fair amount of Louisville so far, both exhibitions and official games. Here’s what I would advise our fans of —- their guards are terrifying. They are extremely quick on the perimeter, everyone can pass and everyone can shoot. Their bigs haven’t shown me anything that would cause nightmares, however.I have no idea if we win or not - haven't watched even 2 seconds of UL play this year. Would love to see IL Wildcat's side-by-side analysis!
Your wrong.I’ve watched a fair amount of Louisville so far, both exhibitions and official games. Here’s what I would advise our fans of —- their guards are terrifying. They are extremely quick on the perimeter, everyone can pass and everyone can shoot. Their bigs haven’t shown me anything that would cause nightmares, however.
Whether or not we win the game will come down to three very basic things:
1.) Can we play disciplined defense at every position on the perimeter? If so, their guards have a tendency to take bad shots at times. If not, we will be stuck in a perpetual state of being one rotation behind and that’s not something we can recover from with their elite speed.
2.) Can we offset the difference in perimeter firepower by dominating the paint? Brandon Garrison, Malachi Moreno, Mohamed Dioubate, etc. need to control the boards and ensure Louisville isn’t getting additional positions, as offensive rebounds will lead to open three point shots and that will bury you quick.
3.) Probably the most important —- can we limit the turnovers? For many of our players, this will be their first true road game in an extremely hostile environment. Also, Louisville plays a very aggressive, high pressure defense and will be trying to force turnovers. If we turn the ball over, their speed and passing will dismantle us quickly. This would also cause us to be stuck in a cycle of playing against Halfcourt defense, where our handle has been somewhat shaky.
I really hope I am wrong, but I lean with Louisville taking this one. I expect we will have a few untimely turnovers, miss a few pressured free throws and fail to defend their perimeter attack enough to win. I expect Moreno to eat Khalifa for breakfast while he is in the game but I don’t think we will win because Moreno will also miss important free throws. Garrison isn’t going to play bully ball and that’s what we’d need more of to win this game.
Louisville 86, Kentucky 81
I really hope I’m wrong
What are the weaknesses you saw in UL?I’m not saying that we shouldn’t be the underdog, what I’m saying is that I’m confident that we are that much better than UL. We’ve played some good and bad basketball so far but we look better than UL, I’ve watched both teams play all their games this year.
Yes, but did you sleep at a Holiday Inn last night?!I strongly advise everybody to take out a mortgage on your home tomorrow and bet it all on Kentucky. Trust me, I'm an accountant.
No, I'm still stupid.Yes, but did you sleep at a Holiday Inn last night?!
Agree with this. We should definitely score down low and in the paint at a good clip. We need to make 7-10 3s and we win. We will out rebound them as well. Cards fans not only believe they are better than us with starters but I’ve heard several also say their bench is deeper. Delusion at its best, tomorrow we put them in their place. We really need Garrison and Moreno to have big games. The Cards inside game is their weakness.
I’m not so sure about that. You usually get about 3-3.5 pts at home, but it being this early in the year, I’d say the Cards got even more of a bump than normal.Oddsmakers must feel that UL played ever so slightly better than UK in the first two games lol
I'm on midnight shift and have to work a double through dayshift. Don't think I won't find a way to get some rest so I can watch the gameUnfortunately, I’m going to be at work and can’t watch. Definitely not “always” but the Georgetown and Nicholls games definitely have an effect. Add that with it being at Louisville with what will likely be a rowdy crowd and super hyped up team off that energy, it’s gonna be interesting to see how the cats can respond to it allroad team is always underdog when the teams are closely ranked. plus we have looked pretty bad 2 out of the last 3 games.
goijg the other way actually. -4.5 at the momentThat'll get bet down quickly.
