Hawkins beating out Hall at RB- didn't see that coming. Kinnaird and Okeke making strides. Also, it amuses me (in a good way) our OLB is also our PR.

So UL is running a 3-3-5?

I originally thought a 3-4, but that 4th LB is a DB, so it must be a 3-3-5.

And only two of the eight DL are over 275.
That’s a very small front for a 3-4/3-3-5.

Pat Forde notes that we have the only depth chart where only one starting defensive lineman is above 255lbs. This includes other 3/4 defenses. Also to your point about PR...it’s amazing that he used to be a cornerback. Safeties are commonly moved into linebacker positions but not sure when I’ve seen a corner.

It's all about speed and scheme this year.

You can say that again. Speed everywhere.

Hoping the O-line can do it’s job and Jawon can get it going because if we can get it to our loaded WR crew or lighting fast Backs in space its going to be fun to watch.

On defense we are going to get pushed around by the better teams up front but I’m betting we have a bunch a speedy Gnats flying to the ball at least. Everyone is going to try and pound us in the run game and then throw over the top when we gamble with bringing guys up IMO.

Can’t wait. Go Cards.

I agree with your comments. But I would also include “attitude” with the speed and scheme comments. I can just imagine this new staff looking at last year’s film and saying to themselves “WTH is this!?”.

And about the FSU disaster last season I still think this was the icing on the “I’m gonna get my $14 million come hell or high water” cake. And, I too, don’t remember much after that moment other than the Sunday when AD Tyra removed the Petrino family from the football complex.

GO CARDS - BEAT EVERYBODY!!! God Bless America!!!

Which? Haycraft, Kinnaird, and Ford?

Not sure I’d count Ford, as he’s an H-Back, and the depth chart lists 12 positions on offense....

I noticed 12, too. I suppose when not in a 3 WR set, there will be the HB.

Hawkins over Hall is the biggest surprise to me. If Hall is not our best RB then that means we got depth.
