Duke hanging in there. Bama 14-3 halftime.
Could be 14-10 or at least 14-6. Duke got down in Bama territory early and went for it on a 4th and 1 at the Bama 6 I believe but was stopped by a sea of humanity up the gut.

Stanford is a laugher vs hapless mildcats & those big-brain Californians have that Cardinal stadium only about 2/3 full

Iowa woke up at halftime and are soundly thrashing the weak sisters now so, false alarm.
I hope the Clones can hang with & get the win in a week or two whenever they meet

Big 12 is very underwhelming today. This conference is clearly down...
Yeah. If OU wins Sunday. The conference will be 10-0. While the SUC had UTenn, Mizzou, and Ole Miss lose to non P5 competition. South Carolina lost to UNC. Arky and Miss St, pulled out narrow wins.

B10 had embarrassing multiple losses. Top 25 Nebraska looked average winning. Really, so did Michigan. There were two impressive teams in the conference, Ohio St and Wisconsin. Penn St scored 70 against E Popcorn St.Mich St's offense scored 1 TD on Tulsa.

Things in the XII will be better than fine if OU takes care of week 1 business.

All of which has nothing to do with OU and if Number 8 is possible lil 10 is not too tough to win.

Mauling teams like Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Stephen F. Austin, Nichols State, Montana State, La. Tech and Oregon State (2-10 in 2018, 1-11 in 2017) and dodging bullets in games with James Madison, Northern Iowa, Indiana State might not warrant bragging rights for the Big 12 at this time.
Every team in CFB schedules one cupcake opponent, but teams like Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Baylor, Texas Tech annually pad their out-of-conference slate with teams that do nothing to promote meaningful respect on a national level. OU and Texas are the only two teams that don't do this nearly as much, just as most powerhouse teams do.
A game scheduled with a "name brand" team is usually made at least 3-4 years earlier, so there's no way to tell if that team will be having an up or down year by the time the game is played. But 8 of the patsies mentioned above have never been and never will be relevant on a national scale.
Last year's Army game was ridiculed by some here at the time it was scheduled because Army had been down for so long. But the game showed how things can change in just a few short years. I personally got what I wanted: an OU win in a close game against an Army team with a storied history, which included a 1946 win over Oklahoma (21-7) that served as a coming of age to the Sooners program. Army had won back-to-back championships in 1944 and 1945 and might have won three straight in 1946 had it not been tied with Notre Dame in a scoreless game later that year.

Well, you can tell it’s football at last and the board is showing signs of becoming alive again. Life is good. Boomer!

K-State’s been scheduling a good team in their OOC’ ever since Prince came to town in ‘06, with the exception of ‘13 & ‘15, which was supposed to have been a set with Oregon that fell through at the last minute.
