Knox over Figueroa 13-9
oops. Not an upset by ranking
I know Cardenas was an AA last year. He has my respect and its nothing against him, but I think he is highly overrated at the moment. In the 24' NCAA tourney, he beat the 27 seed, then 6th year Brayton Lee who had a good year or two but never panned out like most thought. Beats Shapiro 5-4, then gets majored by Teemer. Drops down and beats Keller from Ohio then almost gets majored by Shapiro for 3rd. He earned his All American and kudos to him, but I don't agree with how highly he is ranked coming off of his redshirt when theres so many new guys in the weight who proved themselves last year. Sorry for the rant, just think most rankers and high anticipation of Cardenas being back should have the brakes pumped.Robideau just dominated Cardenas. These freshmen are scary.
Still like Ryder at 74… some difficulty with a large 84 thereRyder wins 4-2 against some no name. Strange after watching him dismantle Smith last week
I thought @Goggles Paisano said Ryder would tech this level of kid with his high octane offense.Ryder wins 4-2 against some no name. Strange after watching him dismantle Smith last week
Cardenas is definitely overrated. But his 4th in 2024 and going 4-0 last year his spot in the rankings was warranted. Robideau is gonna be problems he's a name I kept hearing coming out of Stillwater all summerI know Cardenas was an AA last year. I wonder if he got less athletic in the last week…Ryder wins 4-2 against some no name. Strange after watching him dismantle Smith last week
It sounds like Jamison is out for at least first semester, Hughes done for year. Carter Young is the other guy battling with Vega for 11 (until Jamison is back, if he gets back). I think Sakamoto and Ronnie Ramirez will push Figs for the spot, but I think he keeps it if he keeps his head on straight. Thompson will fight for 184/197 but I think Ryder/Merill hold him offAre Vega and Robideau going to be the starters? Jamison, Hughes, and McComas are also at 141 I think. Teague Travis at 157. Lots of depth on the roster. Does Sakamoto have a chance of beating Richie Figs? How about Thompson at 184? @Corby2 do you have insight?
Are Hughes and Jamison injured? I thought Young was too big for 141 but if he can make it that should be interesting. Have you heard anything about 157? Is Robideau the guy or could Routledge or Travis win the spot?It sounds like Jamison is out for at least first semester, Hughes done for year. From what I have heard, both are injured. Young has made 141 this year and lost to Vega in wrestle-offs, but it is apparently close in the room. 157- Landon is the best guy there, won the wrestle-off and based on last night looks to be readyAre Hughes and Jamison injured? We saw them at WorldsI’m upset that we still have to wait a week to see Penn State compete.![]()
Thompson is probably going up to 197. Figs will be the guy unless Jax comes in early. Travis is definitely in trouble at 157. Jamison will be back if his rehab goes well . If Vega is as expected and Casey keeps struggling I could see Jamison looking to go 149Are Vega and Robideau going to be the starters? Jamison, Hughes, and McComas are also at 141 I think. Lol matters none to me . You are obviously overprotective of guys who leaveCorbys presentation of Evan’s win over Valencia on the new HR:
“He was up 7-1 early and got hit with a lefty headlock with under 10 seconds to lose.”
Now he’ll come on here playing dumb and saying he only posted the truth without acknowledging that he totally misrepresented how the match went to anyone who didn’t see it. His act is really friggin old.
Wait for it…the “what did I say that wasn’t true????” cry is on the horizon.
