Please post about, and discuss, any and all upsets that take place in D1 college wrestling over this weekend. Quite a few matches between ranked wrestlers are slated to take place, between scheduled duals, the Collegiate Duals, the Reno Tournament of Champions, so it should surprise no one if there are a number of upsets.

Unranked Josh Barr with two wins this weekend...
But only one was an upset according to the Flo ranking spreadsheet that is used to highlight significant ranking events (aka upsets) before the big caucus.

Not sure if the Flo algorithm that's been used for years limits Josh to the #20 rank (as he had been deemed an unranked wrestler, and barring other top #19 losses).

Lots of numbers get crunched after pressing recalculate before the drag and drops occur and the caucus quorum happens.

Facundo struggling to find some offense. The kid is gonna be a good one... no doubt but glad that Rocco landed here!

Uhh Facundo is now a seasoned vet, and he has seemed to have established what he is. He had a redshirt year plus this is his third year as a starter or potential starter.

Definitely a miss given his pedigree, he had the look, P4P ranking, HS record and Freestyle chops of a multi time NC recruit. I still remember when we landed him. I was super jazzed and saw him as the next in our long line of all timers.

Alex will likely ("gonna") be a lower AA this year at best. He is one of those enigmas in my book. He has all the tools to just flip a switch and become a solid top 4 or better but just hasn't figured out how to let it rip at this level (for 4 years now).

Chels after watching his development and training regimen was predicting him as a finalist this year under DTs tutilage, he almost had me convinced, yet two months in the loses just keep piling up (again). When I watch him, I still can't get it. I predict he will probably get a big signature (upset) win here or there, but it's pretty clear he won't be able to put it together enough to run the gauntlet of a full NC bracket.

As for Rocco (184), we traded him Zach Zyder not Facundo (174). Alex left presumably due to Levi being ahead of him.

Somewhat infamously, I posted we got the bad end of the Rocco for Zach trade. If anything Zach's young career still has time, but he is starting to look a bit like more like Alex than a future NC as well. Might Cael have missed twice? Maybe, but man can he fill those holes fast.

Success isn't never making a mistake, rather it's what you do about it! Looks like the fix is in.

my bad..... I was thinking Ryder
but both of them look like they have all the talent in the world... just no offense....
if they find it... Facundo and Ryder could both be dangerous but until they find it. They seem to right outside of the AA pack
Agreed that Ryder has some more time to put it together but may also say why Cael was open to filling those holes

Hes playing chess not checkers, right!

Biggest upset of the weekend: AJ, man of the people, Ferrari, was the only Cornhusker signing autographs for kids after their dual on Friday.

Did you double check his autograph?

I kid, I kid. I'm sure your sweet little girls are perfectly safe after their brush with AJF.

I like Facundo. THought he 'finished' too many shots OB, thus not finishing. We'll see how he does. Good kid
