I could give a **** about the other 49 states. I just want NY to legalize it (unless it's legalized at the national level), so I can stop driving 45 minutes to western mass to buy it.

Hell, I don't even care about me, just do it so this damn state can stop losing revenue.

I hate the smell of marijuana and it makes me sick, so if it is legalized then it better come with the same conditions as cigarette use in terms of public smoking.

I'm also skeptical of how many tax benefits are going to be reaped from a national legalization as well. Wasn't the legalization in Colorado not as successful in bringing in revenue? People say it could help the education budget in this state, but I have little faith in the General Assembly to not dig into it.

I'd prefer we legalize online gambling/sports betting in the state too.

They have sold 9 billion dollars worth since 2014. A story I found online said $300 million in tax dollars in 2019.

It’ll die in the Senate.

This is just decriminalization. It’s a good first step.

Pot should be legal. Tax it and regulate it the same as alcohol. I will gladly pay a tax to not have to worry about going to jail for smoking a plant in my house.

This state could supply half the nation with our rich soil. We could also build indoor grow houses on abandoned strip mines to repurpose some of that land.

I seem to recall 4 yrs of people bitching about Trumps promises ie the Wall not being fulfilled.

Where's the liberal outrage about Beshear not publicly pushing for KY sports gambling and recreational marijuana being legalized in our state? It's the only two issues I recollect remotely agreeing with the sonofabitch on.

People already go to the poor house , then to the grave from buying Phama Oxy and Fentanyl from China.
I am not opposed to legalization, just opposed to the Federal government getting their mitts into the money involved. If they just legalize it as a token law to take away the possibility of the Feds getting involved in states who legalize it while it is illegal then, ok. States should be the one who legalize it for their people. The only money Feds should gain from this is the normal taxes from the money generated.
