First hand knowledge is that it is great development and excellent coaching. Also great exposure. The process of completing the regional and being named as a top player can be difficult to earn. Then the invite to the development games is well worth it. Week long practices and scrimmages. Then a big game on the last day. If you stand out there then you are invited to play for team USA to compete against Mexico or Canada in Dallas Cowboy stadium. Bryce went through this process and earned the right to be a team captain in the development game. He was notified that he was going to be picked to play in Dallas and he found out that the state of NC would not allow it. Especially if he were to play varsity football his freshman season. I challenged it and contacted the NCHSAA to confirm. They stated that the state of NC will not allow an athlete to play in a game where admission is charged. If he did then he would have been ineligible his freshman year. I explained that the state is robbing our players of this opportunity. They did not budge so he did not play in Dallas which was his goal when he started the process. We have not been back to USA football after that. But I would recommend for the development games. He played vs great competition and it was very challenging and demanding.
