Ok, soccer fans help me out with the understanding here.

Peru won the CONCACAFFFASAFAFAAFA tourney, so their already in to the coming tourney. If the US beats Peru tonight, then they are in to the tourney as well.

What's the incentive for Peru to win....other than pride and playing spoiler?

I think this game is just a friendly. If we beat Mexico in October, we'll qualify for the Confederations Cup, a sort of World Cup preview tournament.
