do ADs even make close to what head football coaches at top colleges make?

The top dog is at a school that you would never guess.

The one you had before had incorrect ADs. It listed Eichorn as Nebby AD. And he was gone in 2017.
Yeah, just eyeballing it, David Williams has passed away. he also wore the hat of General Counsel at Vandy. Tom Jurich was fired.

PSU's recent (and current) history of AD compensation blows those averages out of the water, FWIW.

Sandy Barbour pulled down well over $1.5 M per year (IIRC, she topped out at around $1.8 Million) - which is also right about the AAV of Pat Kraft's contract ($1.33 M per year + incentives of up to $250,000 or so). PSU also paid off an additional $1.9 MM (IIRC) that Pat Kraft owed to Boston College for breaking that contract.

Yeah, but PSU has 654 varsity sports. On a per sport basis, our ADs are a steal.

Looks like he was trying to get out ahead of an LA Times article detailing his proclivity for inappropriate comments/touching with female staff, including at Cincinnati (who vets these guys??).
