Bad match up for us. They don't give up sacks. They are tough in the red zone. They had a bye week. And that sucks because this team needs a big win. If we can score more than 40, we will win but that's a tough ask.

USC 38, Nebraska 27

USC is not a good road team. They play home games on grass. Having to travel, wait until a 7pm game, with stadium that is rocking. How do the all black uniforms look at night under the lights?? It will be interesting to say the least. NU 27 USC 24

If he’s right on the first two - I hope for all our sake he’s right about the third too!
I never make score predictions on college football because its such a momentum game, but since 2013 USC is only 1-16 on the road in games where they travel 2 or more time zones. That lone win was in September against a weak Purdue team.

On paper, the edge is to USC, but that 1-16 is a pretty strong number to go against. Now if the Huskers can just break the habit of losing in these high environment settings, it could be a great night in Huskerdom.

We play tough at home. Beat the now number 17th ranked team in essentially a home game. Close loss to a ranked Michigan team at home. I don't understand all these blowout loss predictions. I think the Offense struggles a bit, but the D and crowd keep us in this one, with another big ST play. 28-24 NU.

To keep the game close we need the crowd to be loud causing penalties, get SC nervous and get them out of their game plan. If the stadium goes quiet and fans sit on their hands they only turn this into a home game for SC and they didn't help the BIG RED one bit.

What NU probably can't afford to do is have the offense go dormant for a quarter or two as they have too many times this season. Its likely USC is gonna move the ball, so we have to move it effectively enough to limit their possessions.

I concern myself with some of the key play situations where Riley likely has something specifically designed for certain spots. If he gets to outguessing Butler, it could be no bueno.

I agree, I've watched USC and they are not a typical big 10 team. I think we match up well physically. They could absolutely smash us if they committed to running the ball 50 times and throwing 10 but I don't think they can resist the temptation to throw into our nickel package. This means we will get a couple of stops or even turnovers. Our offense will have to play well but we have scored 20-30 in nearly every game, I think we will be in that range..probably need a broken play, punt return, or big turnover to win. 38-35 Huskers surprise us for once in a positive way.

Worst defeat of Rhule's NU career. We don't match up with their star-studded D-line against our O-Line and their 3 excellent running backs against our run-porous defense. Expect TJ to finish game after Dylan gets ruffed up. Expect our offense to get befuddled after the first series of running plays get stuffed and we abandon the run for a bunch of slow developing long passes that get Dylan killed and short screens, etc, that go nowhere. Add to the above we are hurting at R Tackle and they had a bye week. Something like 56-7 SC and only because LR takes his foot off the gas.

We have faced really good backs all year. They have shredded us but we stayed in those games...not sure how...I can't fathom how we are in the bottom 3rd in the entire sport in rush defense and still 6-2. I don't think USC will be patient enough to ram it down our throats, and if they do run it down our throats the game will be quick...probably lost like 28-10. I can't see a massive blow-out.

comforting to know we extended and raised the salary of a mediocre hc well into the mediocre future. will assure of us being able to recruit mediocre players to uphold our mediocre records. 41-17 if we're lucky

to much emphasis on this game, Nebraska will struggle with the pressure
We are bowl eligible and game 7 is on tonight. Nobody outside of the teams cares much about this game. I'm not worried about the pressure, I'm worried about running an offense with no pass blocking against a team that's going to score points.

I predict both of our lines will get abused. Howls from the peanut section will demand the O line coach’s head on a platter while still NOBODY can remember the name of our D line coach…..
