Quality loss for Bama though. They lost to the team that beat Alabama and Alabama is a great team.
I don't think anyone gives a **** about other teams when ours hasn't made a decent run in the past 6 springs. March is here and our team is parking in the handicap spot.
That was a GREAT finish for UT and probably the only time I’ve ever rooted for them
This one hurt. The full context is so much worse than just a buzzer beater. Bama was up 4 with about 30 seconds left and fouled on a made layup. Then fouled again on the rebound when Tennessee missed the free throw. Then got a 5 second call with 3 seconds left to even make that last shot possible. I want to throw up right now.
It was justice. Refs missed an obvious trip on Bama that was not called late and it resulted in a jump ball with Tenn losing the arrow.
Then with 3.8 jump ball goes to Bama. Couldn’t get it in. 5 second violation and UT brings it down with the buzzer beater from 35 feet

Bama should never lost in regulation they had the ball with 3.8 secs left with ball under their own hoop just throw ball in and get up a shot its win or OT but nope they get a 5 sec call they had a timeout left too.
Did UT lose a key player for the rest of the year? No? Then no you aren't doing it right.
Yep, the only loss that makes me happy today is KU. Because that protects our game lead.
Anything else is irrelevant. One of our key players is done for the year, another is so banged up he's barely effective. Meanwhile we are a TO machine. And it's March.
I'm getting a little sick of posters claiming we can't comment on other games because we lost today. It's almost like they have an agenda.

They lost Estrella, so yes. They lost Carr, too so they are definitely playing a man down. Essentially a 7 -8man rotation.

No one is saying that. We absolutely can comment. But trying to say, "Oh, today's loss isn't bad" when just got our *** beat and lost a key player like everything is fine is pretty agendaish in my book.
We're limping into yet another tournament. It's nobody's fault. But that doesn't mean it's taboo to be upset about it.

I know what it will get; and to a point I agree. I don't much care about what happens with other teams right now, especially saying we're fine because other teams are losing.
No, we're not fine right now. We're banged up and just got our teeth kicked in. Again, no one's direct fault, but it doesn't change the fact it sucks and our season is ending on a whimper. Is what it is.
Hope Vols win out regular season and do enuf in the SEC to get a 1 seed. Can’t hurt the Cats seeding to have 3 wins over 1 seeds

Some do care though. Other games have nothing to do with our loss today. The speech police want to keep the negativity going. Talking about the slobbering hogs getting destroyed blunts it.
I'm not shedding tears either. SEC is a gauntlet, take any losses for other teams anyway I can get them. I was just pointing out the facts of the matter. We beat them, tho ( twice) anf Duke so that shows if healthy we can beat a #1 seed.
Just need to get healthy ( if possible) and hope we shooting high percentage from 3 come tournament time

1. Not making sure his players know not to foul up four with 35 seconds left, but if they do, foul hard enough that the shot doesn't make it to the rim. (Mostly on Nelson here though)
2. All-American and 1st Team all-SEC point guard doesn't have the ball in his hands in a tie game (after his team gave up an offensive rebound on the missed and-1) after a dead ball. A freshman, though tough, is NOT Sears!
3. Not emphasizing to no end that they still had a timeout on the inbounds with under 4 seconds left in a tied game.
4. Ziegler allowed to inbound the ball without a defender on him when he was not allowed to move as the play was not after a basket. Nelson at 6-11 should have been all in his vision. Duke '92 anyone?
5. Having his team play soft man-to-man with no back court pressure.
Perhaps he isn't quite the tactician many thought him to be!

Did anyone hear that there were tremors in Knoxville several times today?? At first they thought it was an oncoming earthquake, then realized it was just Sears falling down repeatedly.
Nothing makes me more pissed than him driving with no goal in mind but contact. You can seem him literally not even looking when he shoots sometimes and even looking towards the refs during his shot lol.
Hopefully they don't let him get buy with that crap come tournament time but they’ll probably just give him more foul calls
Did he get those calls in the tournament last year? They didn’t exactly have the roughest path to the final 4 so I really don’t remember.
I found myself not really wanting Alabama to win. And what you posted is why. I know Tennessee has had floppers in the past but they didn't this year really. At least they play teams straight up unlike Auburn and Alabama.
