Do you think that means that Knox is Duke bound? I think they are too much alike for both to go to Uk, so I thiink you guys get Knox...

Knox is keeping things pretty quiet. FSU has those family ties, uses their 3 & 4 pretty effectively this year (both will leave for the draft) and he will be an instant impact while being "the man" on the team. Tough to not deeply consider them from in his shoes. With that said though, FSU doesn't give him a chance to win any titles which he has also said is a goal of his while in college.

Duke would offer him the ideal situation for his 1 year in college because with him, Carter, Trent, Chase, Alex, Vrank, Jack and if any of Frank, Luke and Bolden return then that group could contend. Then if by chance Duke gets Duval and/or Bamba. That team is talented.

Knox is a tough one to figure out.

Has to be looking a little better for Duke. Don't know if Carolina was going to be a big player or not, but the latest NOI has to make Roy look like a liar or not knowing what's going on. Either is bad and I would be pissed if I was the parent-regardless of how things resolve. Like that he is tight with Trent and Carter and that Duke will not have a 3 for him to compete with next year.

Amazing that Duke could still land any of Knox, Bamba, or Duval/Coleman combined with what should be returning plus Trent/Carter. Really need Duval if Luke or Frank leave.

Interesting situation for UK. They already have 4 five stars. But if they don't land at least 2 out of Duval, Bamba, Knox, Diallo they could really struggle. They lose so much every year that they need Freshman stars not just Freshman who can contribute.

Hey Jake, you forgot Javin.

I wanted Knox much better player, Vanderbilt is not a true 3, cal can not get a true 3 man. As for Knox it's a Florida state duke battle.

I actually think Vanderbilt fits Cal's style better. The kid has had a string of injuries, but when healthy, IMO he's the better player. If he comes to Kentucky in shape and healthy, you got a nice one there.

Knox fits extremely well into the Duke system. A versatile scorer who can play the 3 or 4 and "stretch 4". The kid is like a mix of BI and Tatum (not comparing him to either). I like what he can bring to Duke. Imagine Duval dishing it out to that roster... Geez

I know you're not comparing but they were mentioned and IMO he doesn't fit with those two. He's not even close to the scorer, but he's as good as or maybe a better defender. Justise or even Justin Anderson IMO is who he compares most favorably. He's growing as a player though and would be a nice addition. I really hope his obsession with being OAD doesn't get in the way of his development.

He may not be as advanced offensively as Tatum/Ingram, but from what I have read, I would think he is bit more advanced on the offensive end than Winslow/Anderson at the same stage. Winslow developed very nicely on the offensive end during his one year. I would take another Winslow every year till the end of days.

Knox has the versatility of any elite combo forward. I honestly don't think he has tapped into his potential on either his offensive game or as a defender. But when or if he does he could be a major impact as a Fr. I know I mentioned BI and Tatum but I was referring to impact not skills.

How can you be a "mix" of two players based on "impact not skills"?

It's pretty simple if you use your brain. You can still have tremendous impact on the game while not having Kobe like skills. There are many ways to affect the game positively that don't include dribbling or shooting ability.

I think UK gets Bamba and perhaps Diallo for a year and a half

Think about that for a minute lol. Why mix two players to gauge impact? Maybe I don't understand that because of my lack of a brain lol.

I guess you could ADD two players together to measure impact. I don't think that's what he meant though. He would simply have thought of another player with equal impact. You can't "mix" two players to determine impact though. You are funny. I like you.

Knox would be nice but I just hope we can land a point guard

Knox is more than nice if Frank or Luke leave. If one leaves and we get Coleman, that leaves one known contributor (Luke or Frank), one probable contributor (Trent) and two guys who probably wont be quite ready to contribute as much as would be needed (Coleman/O'Connel). That is not enough for the 1-3 spots. Even with Duval, there is no depth at the 1-3 unless Jack or O'Connel surprise. In either scenario, Trent would have to be ready to be a starter from day 1. Never a given, even with top 10 guys. Knox takes a lot of pressure off the 1-3 even if he winds up playing a lot of 4.

Justise worked harder than almost any kid I've seen in a long time in going from virtually no consistent long range shot to pretty steady. Knox will need the same. He also needs to add strength and handle.

I agree. Obviously he would be a huge get, I just meant that having a true point guard should be high on the priority list (as I'm sure it is for the staff as well). I'm one of those that tends to think that both luke and frank will stay so I'm not really thinking about depth or scoring issues.
