Is putting it on ole piss. Could they possibly bubble their way dancing with a win tonight and 2 wins at the conference tournament?
That would put them at 21 wins. My vote would be yes considering all they have done over the past few weeks.

Would not worry about them. The chances of playing them are slim to none as they are the 7 seed.

And to the OP's thread title, give me a break. 0 chance Vandy can get in short of winning SEC Tourney.

I think they'd have to make the final of the SECT and play UK tough to get a bid still. That would make them 22-13.

The good thing for them is if they win this game, they get on the opposite side of the bracket with the #7 seed.

Ole Miss may be out if they lose this one. The SEC would go from 6 bids to maybe 4 in a day?

Vandy is the 7 win or lose though right? I thought it was FL/Bama for UK no matter what at this point?

Also, what happens if Ole Miss loses? I thought I heard them say they would switch with LSU 3 to 6 and vice versa? That is bizarre, but it would be a 4 way tie at 11-7.

Losses to Rutgers (21 losses), Mississippi State (18 losses) and Georgia Tech (18 losses) will do them in. Every other loss is to an NCAA team except for Florida, who is still a top 50 team. Unfortunately for Vandy, outside of beating Purdue, their SEC wins have all been against bottom feeders, except this Ole Miss win.

The whole SEC is schizophrenic once you get past us.

Ole Miss is #3 seed with a win and #6 seed with a loss.

If Ole Miss wins

#3 Ole Miss
#4 A&M
#5 Georgia
#6 LSU

If Ole Miss loses

#3 Georgia
#4 LSU
#5 A&M
#6 Ole Miss

Vandy is 12/19 from three...with 12 minutes to go! It boggles the mind that teams leave them open for three. I remember in our game they were incapable of getting open except in transition for the most part...and to their credit they made us pay on those occasions.

And just saw it guys. Ole Miss screws us. Instead of A&M as the 4 seed, we get LSU...not a fan of that.

Awful coaches make you awfully inconsistent. And SEC teams are awfully inconsistent

First off the title to my thread says Vanderbilt. Nothing else.
Second Vanderbilt has really turned their program around. The month of February/March they are 8 wins out of 10, while other teams have stuggled that are going to the dance. Like I previously mentioned Vanderbilt is at 19 wins and a win on Thursday and Friday will put them at 21. If they shoot as well as they did tonight, Vanderbilt could easily win on Saturday heading to the championship game with 22 wins. Like it or not if this scenario does come to pass, Vanderbilt will be 11 of 13 to finish the season. I dont know if you follow basketball or not but the selection committee does factor in how a team does down the stretch when selecting bubble teams.

Honestly, I'm just glad to avoid them in the SEC Tourney. No, they shouldn't be able to hang with UK, but Stallings has a history of giving Cal trouble. The last really easy win UK had against them was the 1st game they played in 2010. Every game since has been at least semi-close.

But who have they really beaten other than Ole Miss that stands out? Last 12 games is a factor not the only factor.

Record against Top 50/100Losses to those outside top 100

I think Cats only beat them by 6 in Rupp. Both teams are much better since then. They are living on the three. Just like Duke you have to chase them off the line and make them drive.

Given Vandy has knocked us out of the tourney twice in the past 4 years, no, I would rather not face them this year.

The word you're looking for is bipolar.

But I give you a C minus for spelling the word right.
