One Vegas book's odds (@BovadaLV) on Player of the Year:

Okafor (3-2),
WCS (9-2)
Kaminsky (6-1)
Harrell (6-1).

I could easily see KAT on that list. Look at last night's stats compared to Okafor:

KAT 12/10/5 blocks in 21 minutes
Okafor 15/15/0 blocks in 33 minutes

I saw them go head to head this summer, and they are both very close in talent.

Towns has been more efficient against opponents in the top 100 RPI between the two, but when a freshman comes into college who has already been crowned as the NPOY before ever playing a game, they can afford to play worse than other players over the course of the season, and still win it.
Too many people have their heads buried in the sand to say that right now, Jahlil Okafor certainly isn't the best player in the country. He is very, very good, but he gets a lot of style points due to his low post spin move or something. He's been outplayed a few times already, but there are just some people who are adamant that he is the best player in the country.

If you listen to NBA XM radio, you hear how the Knicks can't wait for the #1 pick and to get Okafor. Incredible to see such a narrow objective that Okafor is going to put that putrid team in the playoffs.

KAT is an equal to Okafor, and I would like Cal to express that going forward to promote his guys for POY contention.

Okafor will get this award unless someone just simply explodes over the next 6-8 weeks. This was the time that AD really started to turn that corner. As a fan...I think it should be a 2 horse race between okafor and kaminsky, only because no one is seriously challenging them and college basketball is down compared to recent years and I don't think there is anyone who can challenge those 2. Harrell was great against VaTech but washes out when faced against better low post players. And WCS doens't have the offensive capability to get it. Davis could get his own on offense....i'm not sure WCS has it in him. Outside of that, who else is there???
