Verizon cell phone network down nationwide

My phone on Verizon network hasn’t allowed me to call or text for the last hour. SOS is what shows up the top ribbon.

I tried hard reboot, Airplane mode toggle and WIFI toggle but nothing worked. Drove over to the Verizon store where there was a line of ten people with the same problem the Verizon store guy said that it’s a national network outage.
Don’t shoot the messenger.

i know what SOS is but I’m in a well populated area with great coverage. It’s supposedly a nationwide outage

All the deadbeats must have shown up at the same time at the Verizon store and the owners told us that it was a nation wide outage. Is it coming back gradually? I don’t have it yet .
