Very possibly the dumbest thing ever written.

I stopped reading after the first sentence. Not only was it poorly written and run on, but it falsely references Cal deciding to end his “25 year relationship” with UK. Sorry, buddy, he was only here 15 years …it just felt like 25.

I like when crappy writers expose their ignorance quickly so I know to waste no more time reading them.

It’s just pure uncut cope from losers that bailed us out. I’m grateful to them for taking away a cancer to our program and also for them constantly posting **** for us to all laugh at. Truly a gift that keeps on giving. And there will be lots more.

I read only a couple paragraphs and had to stop. His ignorance is encyclopedic, so to subject myself to the full weight of his agenda is a waste of time. Thanks to OP for alerting all of BBN to SI’s buffoonery.

I started the same thread the other night man, but I agree with ya, the delusion In that article is off the charts
I agree. This almost struck me as a satirical piece. You must lose in November to win in March? Of course Cal's 25 years in KY.....nothing like doing your research, or proof reading.

I love how Cow still uses the....we've only had 3 practices or whatever to explain why they cannot ________.

I am pretty sure even that idiot SI clown will realize that Cal is reading from his same failed script. At what point will Cow start to tell us that he was raised in a middle class family and is unburden by what has been.

Whole article is a hot crock of ****.

We talk about it because we care enough to hope he loses and sucks huge fat ***. It makes me happy to see him KEEP losing like he was losing at Kentucky. It’s justification. We all pray it keeps happening and some limp wristed knob gobbler can keep writing his ****** articles about it.

He's just trolling. Write this article from the perspective of Calipari's early failures at Arkansas and get a couple hundred hits, which is the number of Arkansas fans who really care. Write it about Kentucky fans hanging on the the past, get 10,000 hits from Kentucky fans who obsess about everything involving the program.

Guys like Kent Smith (who the hell is he?) are hanging on for dear life. It's end-of-year "what have you done for me lately" time. If he can show heavy traffic on his articles, he might survive inevitbale cutbacks.

On mine, the article is in the OP. "Not Found" caused me to move on.
Someone else provided the link further down, no biggie, I just hate this assclown benefiting from our clicks because God knows no one in Arkansas is (or can) reading it.

Sometimes exposing stupidity is the best medicine. Clearly this guy is trolling us. He even acknowledged that Arky fans don't even realize where Mussleman went. Arky fans should should say....wtf.

What is left unsaid are two different things.

1. March is ALL that matters to Kentucky. That isn't the case at Arkansas. Their fans may claim they are that hardcore. But they aren't BBN. BBN sees Cal's results the past five years as 100% failure. Not good enough. Done buying the lies. It's not good enough to be one of the biggest brands in the sport with the most fanfare and NBA players. For Arkansas, a program seeking relevancy and desperate to be included in any historical "top program" list and seen as a current "relevant" program, IT IS good enough. They are fine with some elite recruits, NBA Draft picks, sold out crowds and Sweet 16's.

2. Arkansas fans will adjust goal posts and justify it. For a bit. Even if Cal loses in the first weekend. And again. And again. They will tolerate it for 3-4 years until they realize it won't get better. It isn't like "wait until next year", especially in this era of NIL. ALL teams turnover 50% or more every year. There isn't a "building on this year" mentality anymore. They will soon realize that Calipari's failures are cemented in what their program will become and that it won't cut it in the best basketball conference...let alone nationally.

The article is satire and was meant to get a rise out of UK fans. Looks like it was successful in that regard.

This was hares earlier in the week but yes it is ridiculous and sounds like Cal wrote it himself.
It really does sound like Cal wrote it himself. I wonder if "Kent Smith" is a pen name for Cal.
I mean it sounds just like him.

"Instead, trust the process. What's important during this time of year is to nail down the rotation and establish a culture that takes hold fully by February that dominates in March." 😄

Ya'll are literally proving the point of the article.

"Though he moved 700 miles and a full time zone away, Kentucky fans can't stop obsessing over their ex. After Razorbacks losses to Baylor and Illinois, Big Blue Nation flooded social media with grievances regarding Calipari.

There appears to be far more complaining and trolling from Wildcats fans than Arkansas fans. "

They also understand that losing is the most important part of winning.
Oh boy, the way Arky has looked so far, I expect them to do a whole lot of winning (by losing) this year. They might even “win” themselves into the NIT.

This is not from The Onion. It, I think, is intended to be taken seriously. From beginning to end, hogwash. Just one second.......I just read it again. My gawd. He's serious.

When I read it this morning I felt the exact same way. The fact that he thought Cal had been associated with Kentucky 25 years was the first clue that Smith had no idea what he was writing about. This guy is either an absolute fool or he is just trying to gaslight Big Blue.

Yeah I read that yesterday and couldn't help but laugh at the authors ignorance.
This guy talks about his 30-year experience, but he sure as hell didn't spend any of that time watching Cal. If he had, he would realize that this has been Cal's coaching for the past 8 years.

Dropping in the polls is actually rising in the opinions of the sports writers. A few quality losses is trusting the process.
