I think in fairness to Ramsey, he was right. It was fair to wait until we had all the pieces. Now that we do, it’s pretty clear that no resurrection is on the way. And, yes, Ramsey has always been IMO, not only very fair, but very direct in his analysis. He’s professional but rightfully critical of the product.Ramsey usually has a good analysis, but he's also the guy who was gaslighting the fan base by constantly saying we didn't have all our pieces during the injury portion of the season. He kept saying that it was "too early" to judge this roster, even after we were slaughtered by teams like Gonzaga.
Did anyone see if he's finally willing to commit to the fact that this team actually sucks? I haven't watched his videos in about 2 weeks.
He wasn't right if his argument was that we still might have a Final Four contender once everyone returned from injuries. You don't take the crappy product we saw for the first 3 weeks of the season, mix it with a point guard who has done nothing but lose in his college career, and a big man who hasn't played in 8 months and suddenly have a Final Four contender. That was Ramsey's argument, and it was a weak argument because it ignored the fact that the rest of the pieces are absolute trash on this team. Now if he had argued that we might have a tournament team once JQ and Lowe returned, that would have at least been a way more measured argument.I think in fairness to Ramsey, he was right. Well, I think it’s really just two different ways of looking at the pieces. I don’t see a problem with your view at all — but I see his point. If I’m being honest — gun to my head — I would usually lean toward seeing the full product and how the interconnected parts work. We have the full picture and it isn’t working. He wasn't right if his argument was that we still might have a Final Four contender once everyone returned from injuries. One thing that caught my attention about your critiques of our team's skills is that you're eerily accurate every time and you're very detailed and thorough in finding all the ways we're not great. Now here's the weird part; I'm not sure if it's because you're right, but it seems like you're taking a bit too much joy in pointing out our numerous shortcomings. He wasn't right if his argument was that we still might have a Final Four contender once everyone returned from injuries. Yeah, the vision is terrible. It's almost like they don't know how a pick and roll works. Not to mention most of these screens are trash.Damn, how many times did we see four Missouri players in the paint a couple of our guys open at the 3 pt line and Lowe or DA charge in and force a shot?
It looks like they are more concerned about what happens after the screen than the screen. The result being a half assed screen.Yeah, the vision is terrible. It's almost like they don't know how a pick and roll works. Not to mention most of these screens are trash.
Screens are only effective if we you wait for them to be fully set ...It looks like they are more concerned about what happens after the screen than the screen. The result being a half assed screen.
There are several who play with blinders on.
