Ramsey usually has a good analysis, but he's also the guy who was gaslighting the fan base by constantly saying we didn't have all our pieces during the injury portion of the season. He kept saying that it was "too early" to judge this roster, even after we were slaughtered by teams like Gonzaga.

Did anyone see if he's finally willing to commit to the fact that this team actually sucks? I haven't watched his videos in about 2 weeks.

I think in fairness to Ramsey, he was right. It was fair to wait until we had all the pieces. Now that we do, it’s pretty clear that no resurrection is on the way. And, yes, Ramsey has always been IMO, not only very fair, but very direct in his analysis. He’s professional but rightfully critical of the product.

He wasn't right if his argument was that we still might have a Final Four contender once everyone returned from injuries. You don't take the crappy product we saw for the first 3 weeks of the season, mix it with a point guard who has done nothing but lose in his college career, and a big man who hasn't played in 8 months and suddenly have a Final Four contender. That was Ramsey's argument, and it was a weak argument because it ignored the fact that the rest of the pieces are absolute trash on this team. Now if he had argued that we might have a tournament team once JQ and Lowe returned, that would have at least been a way more measured argument.

Well, I think it’s really just two different ways of looking at the pieces. I don’t see a problem with your view at all — but I see his point. If I’m being honest — gun to my head — I would usually lean toward seeing the full product and how the interconnected parts work. We have the full picture and it isn’t working.

While your point is really directed at Ramsey, it does point to a larger theme. Some fans, when things are going bad, lose the ability to think about the game conceptually — it’s not a bad thing, it’s a natural frustration that affects every part of our evaluation. It’s why Amari Williams would be the bane of existence for many fans last year. They stopped seeing his contributions. A guy like Ramsey is just as passionate as a fan like you and me — he just prefers to wait before answering certain things until he feels certain. That’s fine. I’d consider the guy something of a hero of mine, if I’m honest. I’ve followed his podcasts for a long time, largely because he’s a fan of CBB as a whole and that’s also kind of where I’m from. Admittedly, right now CBB is kind of depressing me to the point that I’m not even watching, if I’m honest.

We are all fans of the same team and it can be tough to be a dissenting voice. And one thing I appreciate about you — even though I am often the subject of ire — you do candidly speak your mind. I have the same kind of passion about Kentucky basketball. Ramsey’s the same way, just a different flavor of person.

One thing that caught my attention about your critiques of our team's skills is that you're eerily accurate every time and you're very detailed and thorough in finding all the ways we're not great. Now here's the weird part; I'm not sure if it's because you're right, but it seems like you're taking a bit too much joy in pointing out our numerous shortcomings.

Damn, how many times did we see four Missouri players in the paint a couple of our guys open at the 3 pt line and Lowe or DA charge in and force a shot?
Yeah, the vision is terrible. It's almost like they don't know how a pick and roll works. Not to mention most of these screens are trash.

Also, the lack of spacing is brutal. It's like our big that's not involved in the play is crashing the glass way too early.

Ramsey does a nice job but this is painful to watch. When Mo just looks and looks and looks at Moreno who has his man sealed is absolutely infuriating to me. I could make that pass but Mo is ridiculously late and it’s a turnover. I don’t understand how these guys got where they are. Most of these are simple plays/passes.
