The Bank at which I work saw our main office severely damaged and our operations center destroyed by the December 10 tornado. We were fortunate it was after hours. We have put together this footage from lobby cameras at the time of impact.

we have a little team leaving bluegrass station today to come and help however they can -
what happened was heart breaking and terrifying

i didn’t go myself - was t prepared when the call came to be honest but FWIW - supported in other ways
the team that DID go was comprised of 4 men and one took their son - dude that led the effort is former army ranger
they said it was “wet and cold” and thei spent saturday into sunday helping out
we also had a guy here activated into the army guards mission there
edited to add specific details from my friends feedback about the trip:
donated 10 cases of water
60 blankets
“a ton of food”
three cases of baby formula
newborn baby “kits”
2 cases of diapers
personal hygiene items
totes to organize all the above listed items
$400 in donations from others who didn’t make the trip
they specifically mentioned Dawson Springs HS as the drop off point where they rallied and distributed items
and they mentioned how small these donations seemed against the backdrop of devastation

they included pics in the email that included the info above - apparently the HS like everything else there was destroyed or nearly destroyed
they helped clear trees and performed general grunt work and i can’t believe how bad the pics are —
i’ve never really spent any time in western KY and don’t know anything about that part of KY to be honest - only have driven through once or twice but never stopped and don’t know anyone there
but that event encouraged me to become a praying man again
