He is the best candidate to take our program back to where we want it. Young, hungry, great recruiter, NFL experience, great playcaller, High Power 5 experience, would be able to assemble a top notch staff. He would provide the shot of excitement and energy our program needs.

Yeah, and now it's on to the next. Meh.

I'm just glad it's basketball season.

I like this option. Would also like Venables or Babers. We need a guy who has tasted success and knows how a winning program is run.

Ryan Day would not be a meh. I’m worried that Vince is too focused on getting someone with head coaching experience. I’ll take the guy with future star written on him - comes from Brian Kelly line.

All coaches use jobs as stepping stones. Next year James Franklin or Jeff Brohm will be heading to USC. I want a coach who is wanted by other programs. We need someone who can recruit right now.

Then once the recruits get wind, they move on and current players transfer.

UofL needs a 8-10 year coach.
These cup of coffee coaches, will not set the program up for long term success.

And Brohm is " to loyal" to leave.
Aint that what he just said.......

If you want to get a 8-10 year coach, get ready for a Dave Doeren type hire.

It's all a meh now. I really don't care anymore. Whoever gets the job has a very difficult job ahead of them because of the fractured fanbase. Brohm could have united us with just his name. The next guy won't have that luxury.

Regardless of who we get, I will support the next coach even if it was Neal Brown. Just get us back to winning again.

VT was just on with Howie and stated he is looking at Power 5 coordinators and current rising young coaches. Did say he preferred offensive minded folks, but wants someone that runs a tight ship and is transparent. Also said he had a few coaches reach out to him last night after the Brohm news broke basically saying they didnt express interest before, b/c everyone thought Brohm was coming. I'm very confident we will have a coach this time next week!

Day will be able to walk into a room and focus on the vision that he is selling from a football standpoint bc of his background and time at OSU. Satterfield will have to sell himself along with the football stuff bc he isn't a known entity to these recruits which means he will have a tougher time.

Day also has NFL experience which should translate well with recruits.
